Colin Neat pano, especially interesting because of your northerly viewpoint.
One interesting byproduct of the merge is the creation of some new stars in Lyra and Delphinus.

Thanks Jay.
Maybe you could cast your expert eye over the nearly identical 18-35G image to see if star creation is also evident.

AND, it is good to know our friends who will be targets for hurricanes over the coming months have THUS far survived. Hang in there Leighton, George, Ken and Reagan. Hurricane season is starting out with a bang. Stay dry everyone!
On the east coast of Florida we have had no interaction with Hurricanes this year
September 12 is the height of Hurricane season and there is rarely one that affects us in November
Most form down in the Western Caribbean that time of year
Our son lives in Tallahassee no damage to his house but still no electricity
Hopefully no more in the Eastern Caribbean this year since we have a cruise planned in March that will take us that way
Leighton, Peter, thanks for the feedback on the upload pic vs the direct link pic. Looks like a case of web JPEG compression (if I have the term correct). Might have to start experimenting with targeted web sharpening, though that create an extra step (or steps).

Reagan
Glad to hear that Reagan. Obviously, I have a West Coast layman's perspective on hurricanes since they never make it to this part of the country. And I'm reminded of last year when Sue was visiting her mother and the hurricane bent to the west and went up that coast rather than the east coast of Florida. You should be safe in March, right?
So Leighton, how close are you to the end of the market? Amazingly, we've been told that the two markets we visit in Marin stay open all year long. Of course, we've also been told that the produce on offer diminishes dramatically. Sue and I are definitely hooked on these markets so this will be the winter when we find out exactly what that means.
Nice to see the 28 f/2.8 AI-s being put through its paces on your Fuji camera. You seem to be striking a good balance, with the AF lenses and our favorite MF Nikkors. Keep up the fine work and please share it with all of us.

Outstanding colors and composition Leighton. Good performance at 12,800 ISO.
Thanks George. The handles noise quite well I think.

Our market ends the Saturday before Thanksgiving, but to do you the truth, I'm ready for it to end right now!
Enjoy your market this Winter, let us know what they offer that time of year.

Other than its the start of alligator mating season … March should be all right !
Colin It is not just the 16mm because it shows in your zoom shot, and, I have had the same trouble with the same stars (making the same pattern!) while assembling my own 24mm shots of Mars rising over the ocean.
I much prefer the 16mm version, and it is fun for me to see the sky from a comparatively high latitude, lovely picture.
I notice the abbreviated daylight hours here in Arizona, but you must be much 'darker' presently!
