George, I am definitely getting giddy, although it will be quite a sight, the tiny LTM Nikkors like the 5cm or 3.5cm ones on probably a hulking adapter on one or the other Z. I think you want to get hold of the 8.5cm 1.5 Nikkor to make it more balanced
Yeah, those small lenses would be an interesting sight. But the 8.5, 10.5 and 13.5cm should play nice.
Re: the 8.5cm 1.5... I will get one of those and you can pick up the 5cm 1.1
I hang on to my D200 because of its CCD sensor, its colors and vibrance are not matched by the later CMOS sensors. Peter too loves his and uses it regularly. It is a great camera!
More 16mm f/3.5 goodness from the backcountry. Here John Muir Trail proper - Pinchot Pass view to the south in the late afternoon. Smoke from fires was far to the north behind me, but even in this image there's a slight haze in the distance compared to some years when the fires were less active in California.
Even after so many images with this lens, I still get my hand or feet into the shot on occasion

Great choice of shutter speed.
I like how the juggler's head is totally sharp in the last two (no pun intended) whilst his airborne objects are blurred.
Turns out it is London Fashion Week.
Might be a reason for the high level of beautiful women and snappy dressers my wife and I witnessed at the weekend.
something a bit different from my usual subjects - saw this along Hwy 95/US 6 in Nevada. It's been there for many years, but only the smoke from the California fires made it visible to me this year. Should have taken a detour to check it out more up close, but I was under a tight schedule that afternoon and still had to cover a lot of ground to get to the Sierra Nevada.
180mm f/2.8 ED AIS on D810 here - the better shots were taken with an AF lens - I'll drop one into the MF shooting AF thread.

Colin, are you giving the best wine at the end? You need to add a special notification for Reagan, regarding this lovely set of pictures. Seriously now, the pics are top notch and even I like the rich colours I'd like to see some B/W versions. Good job!

Both looks great on my monitor. It seems you have a winner! Congrats and use it more. leighton w wrote:
Just received the 28/2.8 from George, so I went out after a rain shower to test it. I really missed the 28, thanks George!
Got a call today from my good friend at a local camera shop. He told me their Nikon rep would be there in the morning with the Z7, FTZ and Z lenses. Said I needed come over and bring in some of my vintages lenses. So it looks like I will get some brief time with a Z tomorrow morning.
