No trip of mine to the museum is complete unless I shoot my favorite aircraft. This time with the 85 f/1.4 AI-s. Set this up with the D3's Live View and heard ooooo's and ahhh's behind me while I was focusing. Tripod was set at its highest.
Took this just about a year ago with the 28 f4 PC Nikkor on the Df. Not quite so much nose to nose as Laura's 85 1.4 shot at the Wright-Patterson museum
Thanks folks for the likes/comments on the two Baltimore shots with the Bronica Nikkor 200 F4 P. I like all the Bronica-mount Nikkors. Designed in the late 1950s or early 1960s, they are all superb.
I have also used the 200 f4 P with an adapter on the Df although I can't control the aperture, it just stays wide open, which is not too bad.
Laura thanks for the tip on the assignment, will see how to upload the pic.

Samy you are the Mayor of Baltimore! Terrific street captures using the lenses you use and you always seem to capture the moment as that last shot of yours attests !!
Leighton your market shots are always appreciated!
Raphael the 8mm is fantastic in your hands!
Laura OK just maybe we'll try and see the USAF Museum now that it's properly lit!
Jay nice series of Watkins Glen.
Here are some from earlier this year taken at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Ky.
Ken - great series. I love the post processing. Especially the 2nd shot!

Ken, I have had some difficulty with your choice of contrast and saturation, Your photos are well composed but over time you have increased the punchlines of the rendition. I tend to go in the same direction with vivid processing but not quite as far as you do.
This is a matter of personal taste, so it is not for me to say but for you to do.
However for this Corvette headlight, your processing resulted in a Fantastically beautiful photo, best headlight lighting and rendition ever!
Many thanks for all the informative links. I was not aware of the YF-23A, a beautiful aircraft and assume fairly rare. I like the informal nickname, Black Widow II.
The WWI Rendezvous looks like a special event and a lot of fun to photograph. Original aircraft from the era is something one does not see often.
Your second photo of the SR-71 with the DF is terrific. Great lighting!
You are correct, I meant the A-12. For some unknown reason, I had SR on my mind.
They do the WWI planes every other year. This year is perfect timing with the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI. I don't have a Df though, my newest cameras are the D3, D700, and D300s I'm drooling over the D850 but it's gonna be a very very long time before I see one, unless I get a very good winning lottery ticket...
There are only two YF-23's. They were tested the same time as the YF-22 which became the Raptor. Got to see them both in the air at the same time when we lived out at Edwards AFB, and the one of the best memories of living out there was the B-2, F-117, YF-22 and YF-23 all flying in formation one day, shortly before the PCS here. I've got a shot of the 23 when it was in the hangar on the secure part of base till the fourth building was built
