Here's a couple from yesterday while shopping across the river in Astoria. D700 and a Nikon 28mm f3.5, pre AI but factory converted, that I picked here up for $50 dollars
A great little lens for the cost of three six-packs of a fancy European beer. It amazes me that one can still find these lenses in darn near NOS condition.
I have seen this chap a few times and always takes great care of his four legged co-worker.

Hey Charles, thanks for weighing in. I wish my old D600 would have been that good, I may have kept it.
You are welcome It is interesting that the latest iteration with the D850 is so good for MF fast lenses. I suspect there is often a disconnect with Nikon R&D and marketing. Often there are amazing features hidden with the D850 but there is no literature.
I have found with my D700 that with fast MF Nikkors when the left arrow is just changing to the focus confirmation circle that the focus is right on. It seems consistent with all my MF Nikkors but focuses AF lenses perfectly so I'm not going to mess with the AF adjustments.
Earlier this week while moving stuff around, I picked up my 180/2.8 ED. I don’t use it enough, so I put it on the Df and vowed not to take it off until I had shot at least one picture with it. Well, it hasn’t been a good week for photography for me. There they sat—unused—until sunset today.
I took this primarily to show just how good this lens really is. Those of you who own one will already know that. This shot was pointing almost directly into the sun. It was just barely above the frame. Obviously the lens coatings are top notch to control flare this well, and chromatic aberration is extremely well controlled too.

My experience as well, exactly. My old D7000 was the same.
Jay, it looks like you're discovering Scott's neighborhood. I recall a bridge-shot from some years ago (by Scott/mp356) that was similar to your pond-view. Probably just another idyllic white bridge.
The Ais-Nikkor 300/4.5 IF-ED spent the last years in a drawer. Used it together with my least dusty camera, a Fuji X-Pro 1, to try my luck with the moon.
The setting (a „sun” on a Hotel called „Hotel Sonne” = „Hotel Sun”) was for years on my radar for some kind of a moon-shot.
Should have used a higher ISO-setting, a shorter exposure-time and a smaller aperture to get a better image, but at least the Ais-Nikkor got some fresh air.
Georg, your shot confirms the Copernican heliocentric view of the solar system. The sun is stationary while other bodies in the solar system are in motion around it.
