Posting a little hardware "eye candy".
Going back to my previous post about the 2.8cm LTM I picked up.
First picture is of the lens in the original condition before I did a CLA on it. Took a risk but it really paid off (sale picture).
Second is it on its proper home all cleaned up.
Third is with its 2.8cm cousins of other mounts. Non-AI 2.8cm f/3.5 F Mount, Nikon Rangefinder S mount 2.8cm f/3.5 and the Leica Thread Mount 2.8cm f/3.5. Amazing how flange distance and mount changes the design and size of the lenses. All three for "full frame" 35mm coverage.
Last two shots, Nikon Df and 55mm f/3.5 Micro-Nikkor
Dave, I'm not one to obsess over the monetary value of a lens. What matters to me, is me using them It may just be the after Christmas effect kicking in.

Has the 16mm 3.5 come down in price?
I just checked ebay and it seems the price has really come down recently. a beat up one would sell for $300 or so and nice ones sold for 400-600.
Now everything is under $400. A lot of them have issues but I am still surprised. Have others noticed this lens devaluing?
I forgot all about Valentine's Day because it's the Lunar New Year celebrations here as well
So when I returned home grinning thinking I scored a great deal on a big box of wet floor wipes.. I had another thing coming
The store had a bunch of these on discount, half off, the next day (maybe they overstocked?) so I grabbed a couple and dump them in with the sous vide cooker. I sneaked in a shot with the 24 f/2 AI
Steve you are taking back to the days when 8 or 10 shots out of a roll of 36 were acceptable.
Jay great coastal shots.
Chin love the lobster. Well captured!
Kristian good subtle tones especially with the red bicycle wheel.
Ken Death Valley is a magnificent place. We drove it from the Cali side to Nevada one year which was interesting Found several caves/mines that led way back. The shots are bringing back good memories.
Well here goes with the 35-200 using the D500 Say hello to my little friends. The very clear Weeki Waachi River which starts at the spring head and runs to the Gulf of Mexico.
I finally sold my beloved Nikon D40 after spending all this years with it. It had been my first DSLR and I learnt everything I know today on it. I am glad it is going to another place and become some student's first DSLR.
The good thing is that now I get buy a second crop body. I already have got back $100 from the D40 so I just need to add another $300-400 or so. Thinking about birding/ wildlife and it would be nice if they could share batteries so the D7xxx series seems to be the perfect match.

Dont know about the D7100 but I've worked a little with the D7200 when my friend bought one. I liked it very much. It also has the non-cpu lens option. I've actually been thinking of getting one myself. Dont know current prices but my friend bought a good looking, used, mint conditionone for about 700usd. But that was 3 years ago, it would probably be a bit cheaper now
Good luck with your choice.

I had the same dilemma whilst looking for an DX donor camera for my latest IR conversion upgrade. 71k or 72k?
In the end it came down to price. Same battery as the D610 is a big plus. CPU banks too.
The button assignments on the rear of the camera are different between the 610 and 7100. I find that really annoying.

I think the 7200 officially quit depreciating when the specs for the 7500 were announced!
You should go look at a newer forum www.FocalWorld.com it's growing and has some really friendly and helpful photographers. It's a great place to share photos and no one gets ignored.
