Great photo. What is a Speed Booster?
In a nutshell, a bit like an enlarger of sorts - 0.71x for Nikon to Fuji X
So on a crop sensor camera like the Fuji X series, my Nikon MF lenses work like they would on a full frame camera

Which one did you get? I want to get one for my XE1 and put my 50/1.8E on it for my girls to use.
The Metabones one. I think Mitakon is the other manufacturer?
Not all positives though; it's not exactly light (changes the lens-body balance) and it's easy to disturb the pseudo-aperture ring (not a problem if you're always shooting wide open). Plus it can get rather pricey. I find myself reaching out for my eBay cheapo adapter more frequently.

Is yours the one for the G lenses? All my lenses have aperture rings, so I’m good there. I guess I should have been more specific, Series E 50/1.8...not the newest.
Kristian, looks like a fun hike out in the woods. The coffee must have tasted real good after the hike.
Colin, wow, superb examples with the 55 2.8, both landscape and the bee.
Jose, remember seeing the Caracara before, very interesting bird. I like Ray's question for you I bet you can take a super sharp picture of birds with the non-AI 43-86
Chin, cool colours on the National Gallery building. Must have been fun for your boy to check out the sights.
Ray, funny sign on the bike you "found".
Ram, love the detail in your latest temple tower photo. And very serene look in the reflection at the Udupi temple!
Reagan, cool car, but waiting for you to line up your ducks for your next dream car.
Jay, just wow, superb starry night/Milky Way image with the 24 PC-E. Looks like light pollution is there to stay though.

I haven't been on the thread much but has Curtis been dropping in?
I realise I might have some time to blow after my conference in Vegas, and my flight out is through SFO...

1. Do you have it or have you had it?
2. What is your opinion of it?
3. Have you used it to digitize film?
Thank you.

Robert,
I have the 55mm f/3.5 AI. I haven't had it very long and have only used it for digitizing film, but I think it does a wonderful job. Here is one taken recently with a Nikon FM, 35mm f/2.0 Nikkor-O. I copied the negative using a Fujifilm X-T20 with the Nikon 55mm f/3.5 AI. I consistently get this type of result using this technique; something I was never able to achieve using a dedicated (inexpensive) film scanner.
Beautiful pano Jay. What patience, and I really like all the composition elements; the outside framing, the double hill, the lights on both sides of the hill, and the milky way!
Something to keep the thread ticking over.
No people, no cars in sight. Those canal boats have engines but in days gone by they would have been pulled by horses from the tow path.
D7100 IR & 16/3.5
Thought I'd try different processing from my usual deep black IR
Hi Chin, I sent him an email linking him to your post. Hopefully he responds quick enough for your planning He's not been hanging out here much.

I have been looking at a lot of nice stuff and had no tome to comment other than hitting the like button. Spent the past few days at Daytona Beach where the weather was cold and rainy. Went to the 24hrs race and the photo ops were limited unless you had and IMSA badge. I am processing a few of what I took.
Here we have the ONLY sunrise where the sky was not rainy or grey.

Hi Robert
1. yes I have one - and use it !!
2. I think is is a great lens ..... saw a comment on the 60AF and thought someone had gone off the tracks a bit ... it may be newer, but IMHO not as good .... and to get the proper results I think you still have to manually focus ... so why bother!
3. Yes have copied thousands of slides with it, and film negs, in fact I have just set up the rig again to start copying more ..... pix below !!
You can use an ES-1 but that is long winded and fiddly. Other rigs are used and available ....
Hope that helps ....
btw .... welcome to the happy farm.
Steve

Something to remind Reagan about what he's missing - the freezing northern climes.
Standing out in a chill wind and forgot to bring my gloves. This is a 30s exposure, Df and 28 3.5 PC-Nikkor with an ND10 filter. That was of course after about 10 other trial exposures that I wasn't happy about. And then right after this I unattached the Df and put on a Super Ikonta onto the tripod, getting about 6 exposures (lots more fiddling with its quirky, 1930s controls), before I ended the misery by packing everything up and walking back to the car.
Scott, good example of digitizing film with the 55 micro.
Chin, sure hope you connect with Curtis! At least we will hear about him that way, he seems to be missing again from the thread. And where's Leighton??
Colin, wow!!! Fantastic scene in infrared!!
Ken (FL), good break in the rain to get that amazing color!!
Ken (Portland), 105 micro, don't think of it much - superb result!
Steve, super setup for slide copying, hope to see some digitized F3HP/25-50 pics soon!!
