Can I plus this about a thousand? 2017 was downright awful to me and my family. If it wasn’t for little Penny, I’m not sure I could find many positives.

Here on Vancouver Island 2018 starts in an hour, so I figured I should quickly get in a final 2017 post. I've been very busy lately with courses, adjusting to my new job, being sick, etc., but not so busy that I couldn't keep up with this thread and use of the Like button.
Here are a few photos from a hike I went on in July, all in square format, all processed on my nice new 15" HP x360 laptop in Lightroom and either Silver Efex Pro 2 or Color Efex Pro 4. They were shot with the Fuji X-T2 through, respectively, the 20 f/2.8 Ai-s, the 85 f/1.8 HC, the 20 again, and the 35 f/1.4 N.
My very good friend Mike Rosenthal who is never scared to try something different. He has recently acquired a cake and coffee shop on Greenmarket Sq, in the middle of Cape Town and I had the pleasure of eating a very indulgent carrot cake to go with a delicious cappucino while we were there 10 days ago.
