Took the same pics today with the 8mm 2.8 as I did yesterday with the 7.5mm 5.6 mirror up.
Post small to not bore you, and posted in case anyone is interested in the comparo. One is from 1966 the 0ther from 2000. These are at f/11 with managed sun position. At wider openings and adverse light the difference between these lenses becomes large. Processing is copy paste,

At the risk of being expelled from the MF Cabal, I am gretting 'creative' with the 8mm.
Rafael - really liking your fisheye shots. Do you have any issues with exposure when shooting small apertures and in aperture priority or Auto ISO? I have a non-ai model that also has the ai'd aperture ring. Mine will consistently underexpose at f8 and smaller when I am in aperture priority or auto iso. However, if I set exposure manually I do not have any issues. This is on a Df body, but also did the same when I had a D800 and later D810. No issues at all shooting f2.8 to f5.6.
Happy holidays Ronnie, Jeff and everyone else! Ronnie that shot looks like its from the end of the world! Well it almost is, that may be in or close to the Arctic circle.
Rafael, love that first shot especially with the 8mm fisheye. Could be on a greeting card.
Luka, sweet bokeh demo of the 55 1.2!
Peter, looks like a cold hike and worth it for that view.
10.5cm f2.5 P on Df. Palace guard looks like he's abandoning post j/k PalaceGuard by Maryland Photos, on Flickr
28mm 3.5 PC on Df. Somewhere near Westminster Abbey. This was busy in the morning, looked like lots of office workers walking resolutely to their 9-5 jobs, with tourists mingling about.

Just curious.
George
George, my copy is ais and exposes the same at any aperture. Irises are calibrated in any Nikkor lens, yours may be in need of calibration, it has nothing to do with being ai converted, it is an internal adjustment. The under exposure should always b the same if you iris is mechanically sound and you could just compensate for it.

Thanks. That will be a project this winter. Since I shoot it fully manual most of the time it is not an urgent issue.
Yes underexposure is consistent from f/8 and smaller and easy to compensate, but being a stickler for these things, I just had to know
Great picture Colin. Enjoy the evening. All my in-laws are getting ready to invade my house in about an hour. Four brother-in-laws that let me marry their sister even after knowing me before I married her

And here's the theatre itself. Its a reconstruction of the structure where Shakespeare's plays were staged, and the location is not far from the originial theatre.
