Superb "Old lens new car" Peter. I like how the white balance turned the headlight yellow..
well, headlights are bright yellow in this class. Each racing class has a different light color so they can tell what speed car is coming up (and let them by if a faster class). Yellow are the slowest cars on the track in this form of racing. they use the lights in daytime as well for the same reason.
The one down here runs from Labor Day Weekend, till Halloween now. Used to be six weeks, but they have tacked extra weekends on over the years. It's a dedicated field for RenFest, though they are adding a Celtic Fest to the grouds as well, but they haven't had the big name draws of other Celtic Fests.
Just don't come the same weekend as Sauerkraut Festival, traffic is AWFUL that weekend. I can't believe they have a festival for Sauerkraut...

Maybe one day I'll visit the annual Renfest that's close-by. Thanks for sharing Laura. If nothing else people there expect cameras pointed at them.

D610 + Nikkor 25-50mm f/4 ai-s hand held, ISO 6400, f5.6 at 1/20s.~ 50% cropped. The room was dark, even at ISO 6400 I had a very slow exposure time!
Autumn landscapes galore from everyone. Missing the banter still
The D800e went on a trip to Iceland with some friends who were visiting Europe.
It was their first affair with Nikon & MF in general and looks like they will soon get hooked(NMFAS infect attempts still on).
With their permission, sharing some of their images. (all with D800e and 85 f/2 AIS or 20 f/2.8 AIS.

Picked up this little gem today, Series E 28mm f/2.8
Hope you got a good one. Seems to be more misses than hits. Mine was so bad I gave it away. There is a guy in the film section though, has a beautiful copy. Some of the shots I have seen of his are as good as the 28/2.8 AIS.
