Drove to Rancho Santa Fe cars and coffee, like every Saturday morning that I can. A Big part of going is a beautiful hilly two lane drive on a road called Del Dios (God's Highway) that goes right through Rincon Del Diablo (Devil's Corner), also it is nearby. Using my new Z7II, love the battery grip, had missed that on the Z6/7.

That very lens' price used to be $10K without tariffs, now it is $14K with.
You could make a philosophical offer by sending a message through contact the seller. Tell Boris a wise man once said; "A bird in hand is worth two in the bush" and add your 10K offer. What's the worse that can happen - he says "no". Pffft

Landing the lens in California would turn it expensive. I did once discuss swapping my R-Nikkor for that lens and Boris was interested, but the cross border taxes to exchange the lenses and the fact that the R-Nikkor is even rarer made me back off.
Opportunistic pics from yesterday's walk through Mass Audubon Brewster's Woods and Concord Conservation Land October Farm. All taken with 300mm f/4.5 AIS. I hesitated to post some of these. The subjects weren't cooperating and I was stretching the lens. Tomorrow a TC-14B is supposed to be delivered. Then I'll just have to convince everybody to stand still and smile for the camera.
ScarletTanager
by James Muller, on Flickr I posted this because we don't see a scarlet tanager very often.
BarnSwallows
by James Muller, on Flickr Barn swallows in flight. They never stop. It's hard to catch one, let alone two. I read somewhere that they might fly 600 miles a day scooping up bugs.

Hi Serge, I bought that speedmaster in 1969 for $150 new in Amsterdam. A local watchmaker restored it to like new a few years ago, which killed its collector value.
Rafael, that is a killer deal. The new Moon watch price is up in the clouds at around $9K.
Did the watchmaker replace the original Tritium dial and hands? Rolex service has the bad habit of doing this, turning highly collectible time pieces to ordinary.
Great photos of the classics and Ferrari, red is the only way to go on the latter. I agree, the Stingray is an awesome design.
This was the first year the festival chose to feature two posters. They are from the 1966 French film "A Man and a Woman", reportedly one of the greatest romantic embraces in film history.
Lovely sunrise series, Siphewe. Back when I had days off and closer to 40 hour weeks, I would go to the nearby lake, had a wonderful sunrise one morning.A GBH landed and did some catching. Water reflected that burning sunrise. Fairly certain it was AF lenses, may have been a few MF in there as well.

I'm going to milk this beautiful dusk/dawn season to the max. Not so much the dusk, giant trees obscure the horizon but the mornings are something else. For fun, cycling through all the lenses.
Following the set from Tuesday last week, Wednesday was a cloudy morning. Good cloud cover though.
