I have been away this week. I was expecting to spend some considerable time catching up on activities but see the thread has not moved along much. So let me make a contribution.
Work took me to Berlin. My wife joined me at the end of the week. We were last there 30 years ago -before the Wall came down. Back then we ventured into East Berlin for a day. It was fascinating to see the differences. I took copies of some of my old prints with me since I wanted to re-take the photos from Berlin in the same position (where possible). I plan to scan in my old negatives and do the electronic side by side comparison.
However I have 1000 images to cull, sort and process first.
My travel kit was D610, 16mm, 24mm, 24-120VR and a mid-sized gorilla pod that supports my MF lenses but not the AF zoom.
In the meantime here are a some 16mm f/3.5 night time shots in and around Museum Island
Berliner Dom (Scaffolding and a broken spot light spoil the image. I tried to hide the scaffolding with the fountain's spray) DSC_3957 by Colin McIntosh, on Flickr

It is strange for us in Europe to the see the SS mark on the front grille of your cars. SS is something we remember with horror here.
Me not so much. I can happily relate the badge to the Chevy Super Sports range of cars, but a new threat is on the rise. The AfD is the 3rd biggest political agenda in Germany after todays elections (unofficial result) and they are no hair better then the Nationalsozialisten of 1937.
And now away from politics,
Photographically absolutely horrible, but this was the first time Anouk saw that much water. We made a small trip to the shores of the river Rhine.

It's an all American saying "Super Sport" or "Sport Formidable" is what I think it translates to in Francais. Just as the American car, the Chevy "Nova" translates to Chevy " no go" in Spanish!

Buddy,
I saw some rather distasteful political poster campaigning by the AfD. Practically every local I spoke to had concerns about the implications of the AfD reaching > 5% of the vote.

Is anyone here using a "Nikon G to Fuji X Speed Booster ULTRA 0.71x" with their Nikon MF lenses? Wondering if it's any good?
I'm thinking of getting one so I can use my Fuji XT2 with these lovely lenses and still basically keep a FF FOV with them.
Cheers,
Dean
I have been using one for a while now. It does a very good job of getting close to the standard FF FOV for these great Nikon lenses. I say that because 0.71x is close but not full equivalent. My Nikkor 8mm circular fish eye still crops slightly. But that is why I still have the Df
I am usually not a pixel peeper so I have not done 100% comparisons between using that adapter vs native Fuji glass and I typically use it for my fast glass wide open so not concerned too much with corner sharpness. But I do like using it with my 18/4 and 20/3.5 Nikkors and stopped down a couple stops is sharp across the frame.
Since I already had so many Nikon lenses when I purchased the Fuji, for me it only made sense to try the Speedbooster Ultra. Glad I did.
It does handle better on the X-T2 (especially with the battery grip) than it does on the X-Pro2.
Itīs been kind a slow here in the thread. Even though some really high quallity stuff been posted last few days...
John, I like those lamp shots. That 300mm really impress.
Sar, beautiful bird shot!

Jeff, love that last of your dog shots.
Leighton, love that last one of your market shots.
Ken, cool car shots!
Scott, gorgeous landscapes with the 25-50. I was about to sell mine because I never seem to use it. I really gotta take it out more!

Samy, great shot of the woman playing!!
Buddy, love that shot. Itīs one of those breathtaking moments for the very small ones (Sorry about the current "brown" situation, same thing is happening here )
Nikon Df with handlheld 400mm f5.6 ED AIS. Just absolutely the best combo of handholdability and sharpness at that focal length. Seems light as a feather with the Df (well relatively), while walking around birding.
