Your Acadia shots are always enjoyable Scott, and they have the mark of someone that knows the place very well. Great clouds!

I wouldn't want to do those last three weeks again - ugh. Here are some glimpses of just one of my distractions the Mamiya C3. Besides a love for well engineered items - I love beautifully machined and finished things. Mamiya seems obsessed with adding really nice touches - From the repeating pattern stylized "M" font on their leatherette, to individually turned posts and knurls. All shot with the D850 and Nikkor 55mm f3.5 ai micro - green dotting the focus again.

You're right in that C3 does "do the details" right. Back in the days when many more cameras were produced with a good measure of craftmanship. Beautifully restored Jim.

Here are few slides from 1978, scanned today (not with MFNG though).. Manual-Focus-Nikon-Glass on a Nikkortmat FTn was the onliest camera I had at the time. Probably all taken with the 50mm f/1.4 SC-Auto (mid-70's).

I have no idea where this was taken.

Jim, one of these days you should do an analog Jim Muller sequence thru time!

I know you work early hours Laura, I forgot how early. This moonset was 7ish in the morning, and the last couple of evenings moonrise (coinciding with the "supermoon") was 430-530ish. As someone who benefits from the delivery economy, thanks!

Congrats on the new acquisition. This is the little brother to the "official" lens here, the 55mm f1.2?

Another 400mm f5.6 AI shot. This was as cold as it looks, the airport recorded -2 degrees overnight, tying an official low temperature record for 12/4. The car gauge only said 3 degrees when I parked to get this shot.

Nice frosty shot Ray! It is mornings like this that the snow make a scrunching sound when you walk on it.

Ooh, that's cold for this time of year. Dense woods too (though the 400 probably helped a little )

The Friends Of Woodlands and Waters had a little party to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge.

Then we went for our usual walk through the woods. Ended up with about 8 miles.

Yesterday was colder, not so cold today but the ground was covered with a moderate snowfall.

Tufted Titmouse.

Brown Creeper. Not your usual backyard bird.

Siphewe, beautiful colors. It seems flowers are available to you year round, thanks to your wife's skill in growing them. Me, I kill hostas, so yeah...

Thank you, Laura. They are indeed and I'm lucky to have her continued love for and caring for them, even though, it seems to me her version of it might be as expensive as my photography hobby . Guess we're even. October-December is the best time for the garden here. After that it's been getting too hot, of late.

Sorry about the hostas. We've been killing orchids, forever, and lupines never flower. The struggle is real.

I think you need to bless us with a photo/photos of all your photography children. You have a Plena and a Noct! I've lost count. BTW: Nice to see these shots of the Rubi Girls again. I thought it was a once off.

That feels very, very cold but oh so pretty. I'd like to think I'm quite tolerant of the cold but this will quickly get old. Reminds me of a parent I met at the school on Thursday evening. He's been here for a bit and said he and his wife ran away from the white stuff in the US. He finds the sunny and never too cold South African weather much to his liking. Small world.

Clodoald, grandson of Clovis (first king of the Franks 466 - 511), retired to a monastery located on the site of the future town of Saint-Cloud, renouncing the throne. The church canonized him. Legend has it that the imprint of his foot remains on one of the town's streets and, every time the street is repaved, this mark is reproduced, hence the name of the square (and of the pic).

Yup, I finally snagged one, but the focus is a bit stiff in spots. I took it with me last night to another show involving the Gem City Bell Ringers and the Dayton Gay Mens Choir, went to take a shot, and realized... I left the CF card at home for the D700. Lots of choice words said in church... quietly

Currently I go in at 0300-1130, so yeah, bedtime "should" be 4pm-6pm, the new spot is tearing me up, so I'm going back to the other one that's 0600-1500 but that won't take effect till after Christmas In the current spot, I run the SDUS machine ( Small Delivery Unit Sorter), in one of the new format S&DC's (Sorting and Delivery Centers)

Bigger version at a plant

This is why I tell people make sure your stuff is well packed. Next item down that conveyor belt could very well be a 70 pound package, like a set of brake rotors, and those machines don't read that you wrote "Fragile" or "Do Not Bend" on it. Things just plop down into the gaylords or hampers, boom boom boom. I recently found an empty box while I was sorting, set it off to the side hoping I'd find contents in the gaylord I was sorting, fortunately, I found a couple things that were supposed to be in that box of dinner ware, one box of dinner plates, one box of saucers. Sent it to the carrier's case with a note on it for the recipient to contact Kohl's about having the order reshipped, since Kohl's did such a lousy job preparing it for shipment.

Not sure if the Noct would be the little brother or the big brother

One of these days, once I clean house and find where I've hidden everything... my FTZ is hiding somewhere. House is a flippin' disaster still. Rubi Girls have been around quite a while, glad I started finally going to their shows. They raise a lot of money for a lot of charities in town and have fun doing it.

Wow. That explains why we sometimes get boxes of seemingly well-packaged stuff but with a broken jar inside. Not necessarily from USPS though.
