I don't care how banal the pics are .... post 'em !!
Though there are some things that need to be kept under wraps ....
My friend sent me his itinerary starting today !!
I don't know if I should share this with you car buffs out there .... you might just find it banal !!
I mean 500 private Ferraris on there way to Maranello .... boring or what !!
Original pic taken on iPhone ..... my picture taken with 55mm f2.8 micro on D810
So not apologetic ..... well maybe just a little bit ....
This agenda makes me exceedingly jealous .... and I'm only upset that my butt is a little to wide to fit his Ferrari seat .... (somewhere I have a pic of the car itself .... I'll try to find it)
Does anyone know how much a 16/2.8 and a 105/4 would sell for
both are ai-s A friend has the two and I told him I would check to see what they would sell for

I don't need the the 105/4, but I guess I could go as high as $50 for the 16mm.

John, the smoke is the same here in Portland. Yesterday there were ashes falling like snow.
Though we complain a bit, we are having a much better time than the guys and gals fighting the fires in the heat and low humidity. They have a large task at hand and hopefully the weather will give them a break soon.
Some more 16/3.5 fish-eye shots from my trip to London.
This time the British Museum's courtyard. Old meets new architecture.
It was a rainy day so the place was pretty busy.
I wasn't really paying attention and failed miserably to get a symmetric shot from the entrance. Gives me an excuse to return.

The 105mm f4 micro nikkor mostly sells in the $200 range. The 16mm could go as high as $400, but a more conservative $350 would sell the lens faster

Nice shot John. Pretty amazing that those sunspots are larger than the earth. They also had an effect on HF communications this week.

Thanks -
If it clears off tonight/tomorrow night the aurora should be out. CME toward earth reported, though I haven't checked space weather this afternoon to see if a geomagnetic storm is still predicted.
Wish I had that 800/5.6 that I could have bought a few years ago . . .
