Montana Kid, just twenty miles or so from my home, the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad is preparing an old C&O "mallet" which will become one of the largest regularly scheduled
articulated steam engines in America. They plan to have the engine ready by the first part of July. There will be photos!

Hey Ed,
I will be looking forward to those shots! What a sight it should be in real life ----

I went to Marshall's Camera today and found nothing old. However the Tamron rep was there showing off the new 85mm and the 35mm, both 1.8s I think. I told him I shoot MF Nikons and looked at his products mounted on a Canon which produced good results, good corners and nice bokeh.
I then told him about this thread and went on about its 6000 pages, 120k posts. He said he doesn't like forums --- too many experts and lots of fighting etc.. I said not on this one, it's pretty easygoing helpful and if there is a real difference of opinion the thread doesn't put up with it.
For the most part I'm happy and proud to be a part of this crowd where we all show our stuff yet all are willing to help when needed and then egos are checked at the door.
Nikon S2 with Nikkor 50mm f1.4, ISO100, 1/125 @ f/11; Kentmere 100 film developed in Ilfosol3. I haven't developed film since 1987, but decided to get back into it. This is also the first roll of film that I scanned myself. I still have a tremendous amount to learn about film scanning.
An AI-d "F" and a regular AI, no "K"?
I'm still after a good copy, but they are hard to find.
Are you in for a kind of trade with a late 16/2.8 AI-s (chipped with the real Nikon contact block and not Dandelion).
