After the earlier sunset shot of the fisherman, I scrambled quickly to shoot at river level. Here's a couple I like with the 35mm f2.0 O lens. Feel free to comment on the balance of shadow vs the highlight in the sky. Played around a lot and could not really make up my mind.
Colin, excellent image of the starry sky with the 16/3.5.
James, very colorful series with the 35/1.4 and good looking furry friend.
Ken, excellent photograph of the leaf.
Alhambra Palace, Granada:
Orange trees are very common throughout Andalusia but there are heavy fines if caught picking the fruit. I read that they are very bitter and mainly exported to Great Britain for the making of marmalade.

I like how you lightened the foreground in the second image to bring out the flowers.
Thanks for the feedback Leighton.

I like both pictures. The second one is probably more true to the real eye (lightened shadows).
Thanks for the comment Ralf.
My brain is still wired with Velvia-itis even though it's been two decades since I last used that film. With that said, here's another sunset shot, 35mm f2.0 ), with more foreground lightening.
I was on a quick trip with colleagues yesterday. Df + 35-70mm got to come with, in addition to the V1 that has permanent residence in car. Managed to fit in a few shots when I had some privacy yesterday afternoon and this morning.

Siphiwe, the craftsmanship throughout the Alhambra Palace is amazing. All this work dates to the 14th century and the condition remains superb.
Great soft colors on your flower capture with the DF.
These all are with the 2.8cm 3.5 RF, don't like it for landscapes due to ugly corners, but love it here for the rendering, and the corners get better as you focus closer.
This was the second best car, a fricking perfect modernized Morgan, every detail was perfection and it had a powerful 3.8 liter ford V-6.

Not long ago, I posted some comparison photos of my 50-year old Nikkor 50mm f2 HC Auto, adapted on my Sony A7R III. I compared it to the Zeiss Loxia 50mm f2 and the Voigtlander 50mm f2 Apo-Lanthar. The latter being considered as one of the sharpest lenses for the Sony System. As we saw, the Nikkor held its own well against these highly regarded lenses. I think this surprised a few, and maybe didn't surprise some others.
Legendary Nikon lens tester, Bjørn Rørslett, gave this old lens a 5/5, saying: "I was genuinely surprised with the test results of this humble normal lens. It delivers sharp and contrasty images already at wide apertures."
Well, maybe the news is slowly trickling out, as I got the following article in my news feed this morning. For us here on the Manual Focus Nikon Glass Forum, it's a bit of a "Duh!", but I thought I would share anyway.
