You step away from this thread for a few days and things really pick up! Great shots, everyone!
George, please don't post photos of your 501CM. You're making me miss my 500CM, but I will resist the urge to get another.
My grandson loves to put together Lego cars and always asks me to help. My help involves turning the pages in the instructions book. His mind works so fast that he as already grabbed the necessary pieces and put them together before I can figure out what pieces he needs.
Lego Lamborghini taken with the 55/3.5 Micro. Three image focus stack. I probably should have taken a few more images and made my focus increments a little smaller.

Anyone here have a recommendation on a competent tech that can perform a CLA on a few of my lenses? Using Rafael’s Nippi has spoiled me on nicely dampened lenses. My hands aren’t steady enough anymore and my supply of lube has literally dried up. One lens looks like there is some balsam separation and if it didn’t have sentimental value, I would just replace it.
This egret really had an all you can eat brunch buffet, it seemed to be picking up one fish after another, about that size. I figured it was going to have a long siesta in the afternoon while I was on the way back from Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge.
The 500 F4 P is a chipped lens, and my favourite Nikon green square was back! Focusing is a heck lot easier with that trusty green square.
Glad you were able to get in for some photography and really like that shot! I forgot about the 500/4P being chipped. I bet that was extremely handy having that green square focus confirmation

Very cool! That would have been on our kids lego list back in the day (for me). We are still storing all of our son's lego stuff in a bonus room closet. May have to dig some out and see what I can build
Thank you for the posts in remembrance of Reagan. He loved this thread for many years; always excitedly posting pictures, looking at others' photos, and probably always commenting. I can't count the number of times he would call me into the room to look at your pictures. I remember the trips around the state he made to meet some of you in person. I was still working and he had retired, and off he would happily go with camera and gear. He excitedly told me about each trip when he got home and for years after. We were fortunate enough to go to Maine on two vacations and spend time with Scott and Joanne. Scott - thank you for the beautiful original post.
Sadly, Reagan's tremor and other health issues kept him from taking pictures these past few years. He had basically given up taking pictures but still enjoyed looking at yours. While I am heartbroken and in shock at his sudden passing, I just had to let you all know how much he enjoyed his time on this thread.

Condolences to you Diane and wish you all the strength to get through this time. Reagan's posts here were part of a very active and fun banter those years and helped establish the spirit of the thread which has persisted. It was great to interact with him here. Glad to hear he was enjoying the thread even after he stopped posting pictures.
