Rafael, Thanks! Like Curtis I really don’t tote a camera around much anymore except for road trips. What I shoot winds up on my TV as a screen saver. I follow the thread daily and often click the “like” button.
I shoot pistols at my club 2-3 times a week for fun and camaraderie and a hearty lunch afterwards. I’m 77 and started jogging about a month or so ago. It’s been a long haul from two broken legs. I refuse to grow old!!
The conversion was simple using a step up & down ring + a 0.125 inch disk of plastic for the stage. It just snaps on the PS-5 52mm compression ring, rotates easily, and can be removed with a simple squeeze to the two buttons on the PS-5. Whatever is afixed to the stage is perfectly parallel to the film plane.
The arrows show how the 52mm compression ring is onl about 65% of a circle
The Nikon ZF amazes me the more I use it. The attached photo was shot hand help at 1/15 F1.2 ISO800 using the 1970s Nikor 55mm f1.2 pre AI………. Hand help 1/15
Reagan sold it to me once, then two weeks later asked to buy it back.

Hate to hear that about Reagan. He reached out to me a couple weeks back about that 28mm f/2, said it had been gathering dust. Especially a shame if he was rounding a corner with his vision. I’d been meaning to follow up with him again about it. Never met in person but had several good conversations, hard to hear the news. Do what you love with the people you love! Never quite know when the ride is over.

Another view of the falls, slightly different angle. 1/8 second. Shows how fast the falls are flowing that even at 1/8 second the water is very silky

Neil,
Are you utilising those new manual focus aids that the Zf offers?
I’m going to have to find a 28/2 now. I find myself reaching for the 28 regularly now, including an early morning walk in Great Smoky Mountain Nat Park.
Tested my newly converted Fuji X-T3 today. This one is a pano with the Nikkor-H 50mm f2 and a Hoya R72 filter. Still a lot to learn when it comes to IR..

Nice Matt! Are you at GSMNP now? I am right down the road in Upstate SC. Sumter National Forest area.

Hit the trail early this morning. Short trail with lots of falls.
Df with 28mm f/2. Shot at f/8, 10 image blend since I did not have a 52mm ND filter with me
Nice to see you using a camera that we mere mortals can relate to, George!
Maybe I should explore more with my Df and 28/2 (maybe start a thread) - that is if spring would ever come to stay here in western Montana. We've had 3 or 4 goes at it, but then it has always been off again - now with snow in the forecast.
