I’ll third that last one. Great textures and processing. Nice work.

I am really liking the last one Glen.

I agree, you can tell you've gotten better since you purchased your new monitor and that you have more experience with the software. I also agree with Colin about your last image in this set.

Glen, I have noticed a change in your processing and presentation. Like it lots!

Glen - echoing others. Seeing a difference in your images, that new set up is suiting you well
In my last post, I forgot to thank everyone for your kind comments on the post before it. Looking at the quotations above, how could anyone not realize what a fabulous place this thread is! If I have grown in skill in my photographic hobby, it is at least partly because of such supportive and friendly behaviour as you see in the posts quoted above!
For today's post, I have a set of photos of a couple of young deer who appeared near the parking lot, just as I was getting ready to leave the spot I visited in Nanoose Bay back in 2017. These were taken with my D800E and, I believe, the 135 f/2.8 QC, and have not been posted before.
Thanks George & Glen. Glen, I’m liking the new processing too. Leighton as well, thanks. As far as Lightroom, these days I mostly load SD onto iPad, cull then upload to LR to edit. Occasionally I’ll get around to doings some tweaks later on my phone. Every once in a while LR will show the preview right, then tell me that edits aren’t available, and I can either start over or wait for a sync. Except it never syncs. It hadn’t don’t it too me in a while but this one wouldn’t load…

Another wonderful image, you're on a roll.
Since I don't use LR anymore, what do you mean by "not syncing"?
Colorful sunrises and sunsets are rare in my part of the country so last night's just had to be captured. The con trails were glowing. I threw on the 24/2.8 NC for this one.

I just picked up a D800 and I’m looking for a manual-focus type focus screen for it! Does anyone one have one in a drawer to sell me? Focusingscreen.com has some, but not my preferred pattern, and I thought I would ask here before paying full price for something not quite what I want. If yes, please send me PM.
Here is a snap shot I took years ago with my 105/2.5 ai’d on D700, one of my favorites with that lens. Even at f8 the bokeh is decent.

Really nice. Another reason may be that there are more lights closer together on the far side of the bridge.
The first six pairs of lights (counting from the left) are identically spaced across the bridge on both sides. They are staggered when we get off the bridge at the right side of the shot. Sometimes optical effects are just strange I guess.

A Coating of Snow. Taken with the 35-105 Ais. Thanks for looking.

Like it lots, snow that sticks like that is coveted in the winter months photography-wise. That's an interesting "shelter" with the natural log columns.

Something to keep the thread moving along.
The taxi from Innsbruck to St.Anton took in a few tunnels.
50/2
Nice motion shot. It's amazing how much more illumination and driver guidance is in that tunnel. The lit edge line behind the curb is something I don't remember ever seeing before. Almost looks like you could be in an X-wing if it were not for the cars ahead.
Took a non-interstate route home from a meeting yesterday afternoon, had some good light in places I don't normally go. Fortunately also found some great spots to safely pull off the road without trespassing. There were a couple of times I missed out (it was really tempting to just stop in right in the lane to take a shot). 105mm f2.5 AIS, the second shot is a pano shot in vertical orientation.
Here is my contribution to keep things moving, consisting of some landscapes as viewed from the top of Mount Benson in 2017. These were taken with my D800E and (as far as I can recall) the 105 f/2.5 P, 35 f/1.4 N and the 55 f/1.2 SC, respectively.

Gorgeous light indeed.
I am interested to know what is being manufactured in these buildings.
Hospital of the Innocents, Florence (1445), the first orphanage in Europe. Architect was Brunelleschi who also designed the great dome of Santa Maria del Fiore.
At the end is my fave inexpensive watering hole with a large selection of Panini, popular with the student crowd.
Glen, Those are all beautiful vistas. Thanks for sharing them.
