John B in London, love the London Bridge!!! Trying to figure out if you babysat a tripod setup with traffic going around you
Scott, that's it for snow pictures for the year. Let's see some northern color and light
Agentbird, super shot. Ben from Sydney would have liked it except he's in some kind of LeicaLand.
Philippe, I think their problem solving days are behind them. Great processing though.
Steve, is that the lost and found luggage from a century ago??
Jeff cool shots from Sierra. Someday I will have tto make it to Yosemite.
Ronny, astounding shot!
Jose, we should have known you would recreate the 200-500 setup using manual glass, nothing is impossible for you And love the 'tude on the Great Kiskadee!!
Huss, too bad about the film mishap, but your D750 pano is fantastic!
Andy, nice looks inside the Crown Casino in Melbourne.
Colin, love the bokeh with the 55 micro!
Ric, superb scene at Nicely's, especially the one with the mountain in the background.
Hi Scott.
Thank you for your note on the Tower Bridge shot. I am a bit late in replying. When I checked back in later that night, I saw your shot of the last of the snow and completely missed your post in between. Sorry about that. Good shot of the change in seasons. Always nice to see these scenes looking so natural.
Hi Saph,
Thank you for your note on the Tower Bridge shot. Yes, a tripod was necessary. I am hopeless without one. On the approach to the bridge from the north side, the road bends a little so there is a traffic island in exactly the right spot to shoot centrally through the bridge. The island forms part of a pedestrian crossing. Any shots that you might see from the south side will have been taken from side pavement and not quite central.
The image is brighter than I intended. I under estimated the amount of pre dawn light. I had a couple of ND filters with me in order to capture some long tail lights but I was unable to use them.
Love your street work, there is always something 'right now' about it.
this one also didn't show up searching the thread for its title, so here it goes - 16mm f/3.5 in the Sierras last summer. This is on Island Pass and the south border peaks of Yosemite are in the distance (Donohue Peak on the left, I think)
f/16.0 1/100s ISO 100 on D600 to get max depth of field. Flowers in the foreground were tiny
