Congrats on the DF! I had to get one in order to finally use my dad's lenses that he gave me...

Merry Christmas to all. It is dangerous to be home! I just got a Df (used, but in great condition). Here is a picture with the micro 35mm f3.5 (the wrong setting on the EXIF). Now I have to buy some non-Ai lenses!

Oh, you did! Congratulations Regina. I have no idea how a Df must feel with you owning a D850 already. However, I hope being able to shoot pre-AI should be reason enough to keep it. Looking forward to your pictures.
For those celebrating the festivities yesterday then I hope you all had a nice time.
Went for a walk with the family out to the local nature reserve .
Ordinary images were a bit bleak and boring so I was forced to mix things up with a bit of intentional camera movement.

You are so right about steam trains ....... endless photo opportunities at age and in detail
The Vulcan Foundry Works is in the Village of Vulcan (or was) which is part of Newton-le-Willows about 25 miles from where I am located, my daughter used to live there.
It is now part of a county known as Merseyside, no longer Lancashire, unless of course you are a purist
Also right about the foundry being part owned by a founding father of steam locomotion Mr Stephenson of the Rocket fame
These pix i have from 2015 when I was in Switzerland are also of an aged loco, built for going up mountains, and keeping the steam boiler on the level
Note that even at this age the Swiss notion of timekeeping is still strong.
Taken with 135mm f2 Ai-s & 28mm f2.8 Ai-s
