Thanks Colin, I have a long way to go with MF glass. I bought an FM3a so have been slowly acquiring some glass for it that I can use on my Z camera as well.
One more thought. In my previous life I was an electrician (for the power company). looking at this second image gives me nightmares. Actually, I have seen worse in other countries.

My 55/3.5 is the scalloped pre-ai version, rarely used for anything other than close up/macro (rarely used for anything TBH)

Both of my 55’s were AIS. The 2.8 was great at infinity. The 3.5 is beautiful up close.

So sorry for your loss. I had a cat growing up who was 21 when she started to lose control of her body. We had to put her to sleep. Hardest thing I had to do. Haven’t been able to even consider another pet since.
The quiet streets of Mdina as sunset slipped into a very short blue hour.
Knowing what I now know about this wonderful walled city I’d like to go back with night photography being the sole purpose.
Alas, that is unlikely to happen since there are other places my wife and I want to visit.
