Dean,
I haven't thought about anti-Newton glass since my enlarging days. Thanks,
Jim

Another view of an old truck I posted previously. Taken from the side of the Sturt Highway at Shea-Oak Log in South Australia. Bronica EC-TL & Nikkor-H.C. 75/2.8. Portra 400.
I'm having some success with this anti-Newton glass I bought from Knight Optical in the UK. It seems pretty good and while there's still the odd Newton's ring present, there's no where near as many using plain glass or even some other AN glass I have.
I sandwich the neg between to pieces with the etched sides facing inwards with the neg also upside down shooting the dull side. There is some transmission loss but even at 100% the image looks great. Added bonus is the neg is perfectly flat.
Apologies for posting a non NMF shot as well ... I can delete it if needed.
Left NYC 14 years ago now and can fully agree. Only thing I miss is the food, especially Pizza which just isn’t as good down south. Korean BBQ and real Chinese food were also great.

I love this one, Jay. Think a PC Nikkor was used, if so which one? I'm suddenly more curious about PC Nikkors after the build we are doing at home. Can never take pictures I'm happy with unless I back so far away I lose interest.
I have cayenne with cream cheese on a toasted slice of Barb's homemade seed, and herb bread each morning for breakfast. I don't feel normal til the cayenne pops my sinus open. I'm not a machismo pepper person - drawing the line at pain. However, I do love the heat and flavor of good oeppers paired with good food.

The peppers on the bed of lettuce makes a nice look. I've heard if you eat all of those at once, it will cure what ails you.
All things being equal, negotiations underway, I will be returning to New Zealand in the next month or two to live and work at the Queenstown branch of the campervan company I now work for (JUCY) in the NZ Alps on the South Island.

First of all, absolutely no trouble using a NMF lens in this instance. Second, I'd like to see the whole setup of capturing the digital image of the negative.
Hey Leighton. Here's my setup and little workspace
I use a Nikon D810 and 60/2.8 AFS Micro. A Kaiser copy stand and a Valoi Advancer. It all works well enough and gets the job done. I use the AN glass when I want to capture the entire neg.
One day I may get a mirrorless higher MP camera but since I never shoot digital besides scanning it's hard to justify. Maybe a second hand Z7 one day.

Good way to wake up. While in season, which is now, I am sauteing Shishito peppers for breakfast. They're not hot, but I love them.

Thanks for showing this. Nice compact setup. How to you achieve critical focus? Do you bend over and look in the viewfinder? And one more question, this time about your computer. Is it plugged in to an UPS?

Crazy considering people thing of shooting film as old fashioned or old tech. The amount of work just to get the pics to a PC, processing software or online can be huge.
So credit to you as I just couldn't be ar*ed ! 😂
