Romantic poet, William Wordsworth, is buried in the Grasmere churchyard.
No pics here since I used the only other lens I had with me and that was a native Z 28mm.
This hotel bears his name and is built from the lovely red-tinted stone that is quarried locally.

Colin you’re perhaps 3 hours south of my daughter who just climbed Arthur’s Seat today. Wished I was there. Beautiful, historic and scenic.
Did you lend her your Noct for the trip?
I am back home in Hampshire now so make that 8 hours (on a good day). Maybe quicker if I borrowed my son's new car.
Same engine, gearbox and chassis as mine but in a smaller 2-door coupe package.
Travel on the UK roads is dictated by 'smart' motorways/highways that monitor your average speed and dictate the max speed due to traffic load and weather conditions. Much of it is limited to 50mph where they have roadworks or are building the 'smart' infrastructure.

Glen, I wish I had gotten to explore Victoria more. Unfortunately, our cruise ship was late arriving in port due to a mechanical problem and we only had a couple of hours. From what I could tell, though, Victoria is a beautiful place. I would love to spend a few days on Vancouver Island and really check it out.
If you plan a visit in the future, please let me know so we can arrange a meet-up.
Here are a few random shots left over from last fall, from my Fuji X-T4 and the lenses identified in the captions.
Is that the granny window in the cabin? I think that is what I read that it was called the granny window so she could look out while watching over the fireplace when cooking. Appalachian cabin in Cade's cove had built a second cabin onto the first. Original had a granny window, if I'm calling it correctly. Beautiful photo that brings out the detail.
Thanks David! I am not sure about the window, but it does fit your description. It was not open to see inside yesterday. It is Hunt Cabin at the South Carolina Botanical garden at Clemson University.

Maybe it's time for your mid-life crisis with a purchase of the 2-door coupe.

How long were you stuck in traffic?
It took 4 1/2 hours to arrive but only 2 hours to return. My brother is visiting, and it was a spur-of-the-moment decision. It paid the price because since yesterday it has been raining a lot.

Good reminder about Dean, Siphiwe. He seems to come to the thread for a period and then disappears. Hopefully he is reading the thread and will show up soon.
Haha ... my ears must have been burning. . I hadn't logged in for so long my password had expired and then read a few pages and saw my name mentioned.
Hope you and everyone here are happy, healthy & doing well.
I'm still alive and doing pretty well. No complaints
I've still been shooting a bit but for some reason I shoot and scan my negs but haven't been processing them ... let alone posting anywhere. Just got a new monitor so I'm enthused again. Better post some pics now!
Been doing a bit of back and forth between Adelaide and HK over the last couple of years. Really enjoying shooting these car meetups back home every Sunday morning. They're super popular and there's at least 2-3 meets to choose from.
These are from one meet. All Aussie "muscle" cars from the 70's. Around 10-15 years ago these were still seen as "bogan" (google it ) and now some are worth a fortune. For instance, the first one, a GT 351 Shaker is worth around 500K. Amazing.
Anyway, all taken with my Nikon F3HP and the 35/2 OC. Kodak Ektar 100. Scanned and processed myself.
200mm f4.0 AIS Micro. Nothing too exciting but I typically don't find these in such good condition, my timing was right. The rain added to the shot as well.
Well that worked. Glad you had the time to get on the thread for a drive-in Dean

Nice Car! Sad about the highway restrictions. My daughter was in London for business for the Sotheby’s Art auction and took the train for a weekend in Edinburgh. Packing an iPhone.
I guess it was in the 90’s my wife and I met up with a couple of Ex Pats in Turnham Green and had a good old 4th of July cookout. Hot Dogs and Hamburgers for all!
Well somebody showed up from Down Under!! Good to see you kicking Dean!
