That's one of the coolest bird's nest I've ever seen. Love how the bird enters the nest and then has the main chamber around the corner. And built out of mud at that!

I think you will be very happy with those. Big bang for the buck for sure.

Thanks guys for the help. I found a good site about binoculars and after some reading, and suggestions from George and Ray, I went with the Vortex Diamondback HD 10x42.
Hny everyone. It's been a whirlwind start trying to get the kid ready for school (he wasn't ready... or didn't want to be?) and all the email replies start flooding in (yeah no I asked for this three weeks ago).
I don't feel ready for anything... just wanna dive under the covers and snuggle till February, ahem

Oops! I should have read that you already made a purchase before I made my post. I, too, looked at the Vortex Diamondback HD and I think you'll be very pleased with them.
This zoom is still working its way to my heart. Based on the pictures from this board, I know it's capable of much better than I have done but I'll get there. I like the background of these.

Nothing wrong with those! You are right about the background.

Thanks Scott. The parallax using the 25mm viewfinder on the hot shoe threw off the framing just a touch. It is driving me nuts. I am now impatiently waiting for another foggy morning to go back and shoot it again

Very nice George. Great converging lines.
At the Southrn end of the North Island are the Putangirua Pinnacles, a weird geological feature of eroded cliffs. Used in The Return of The King, the spooky Path of the Dead.

Beautiful image even though you think there's something wrong with it, George. *shrug*. I've looked at it from all angles, fine image but because of the forced double-take I have discovered lines crossing over in the distance and a "worm" floating on top of the trees. Maybe thicker fog required now
