Got a long lens out and tried some dark over cast/flat lighting. Not so good.
I will get some sun, and lower iso shots at some point. D7200 600mm f5.6 plus
TC-16A EFL 1440 @ 1600 iso - uncroppped.
Bravo George, simple, perfect composition and Nostalgic Neg (jumped out at me as a GFX user albeit one that doesn't get that particular profile)
Love the Westminster Abbey shots again Serge. Funny isn't it, I've only ever been once despite living there for nearly 40 years, I've been to Notre Dame more times and to quite a few others around the world the same number of times.
Enjoying the series Laura, the shots of the dollar bills scattered on stage around the high heels was excellent.
Back to my trip (I'm starting to forget where I'm up to and what places were called now )
This is Taranaki Falls in Tongariro NP (despite Mt Taranaki being miles away on the West Coast of the N.Island. In Maori legend the mountains of Taranaki, Tongariro, Ruapehu and Ngauruhoe were all brothers but had a falling out and Taranki was banished to the West Coast iirc !)
3 views, different shutter speeds, pick a fave. Usual rig, GFX + nikkor 28/3.5 PC
These falls were a 2 hour return hike from Whakapapa Village (the WH is pronounced F in Maori btw )
Andy
PS - I dropped the GFX down a ravine yesterday, probably 6ft, it went bounce bounce bounce on some rocks and ended up in the stream at the bottom, battery grip door opened, screen articulated out. Seems ok amazingly ! Just had to straighten the screen bracketry a little and dried it out. The worst part was having to try and remember which settings I had (I don't go into the Fuji UI EVER if I can possibly help it !)
Definitely an OS moment there for sure! I know the panic

Thanks Andy. I love that they raise money for lots of different organizations around town by doing these shows. The shots that surprised me the most though, were the shots of the boards that people signed. The ribbon just popped 3d like out of it.

Andy, that's an expensive item to drop - glad the camera and lens survived!

Oh no Andy! So glad it was recovered and still works!
Of the three shots, I like the first one best.

Andy,
They are all great but the first is the stand out for me.
The time between retreiving a dropped camera and willing it to function again is not pleasant. I'll bet your heart rate increased a bit. Glad it worked out for you.
Andy,
Taranaki Falls are beautiful. Glad to hear the GFX survived - hope the 28mm f3.5 PC did as well. The third is my fav.

A random find on google: a somewhat weird page in terms of layout, probably because it's Japanese and something is not working quite right with my German / English browser settings. But if you scroll waaaay down there are tons of pictures of old Nikkors adapted to a Z fc. Thought some in this thread might enjoy them
