I was shooting in Manual Mode with a shutter speed at 1/160th of a second. This was shot wide open. I always shoot with Auto ISO. Lighting was good enough that the Df only needed 140 to capture this image. Obviously, at 105mm all of these shots are crops. Hand held from this distance, they're not half bad.
I just checked the 180 f/2.8 AI-s Laura links to above and it is a STEAL at $189. It is in 9 condition and looks pretty fresh. If you haven't experienced this lens you owe it to yourself to give it a try. It does everything well. I still consider it a desert island lens. I bought two of them over the years, spending $300 each time... Someone is going to be very happy with this beauty.
I'll post the link again since we seem to be in that mood...
I brought the 135 F2.8 AI-S to Diamond Creek Falls. I enjoy that the compression makes her look way more precarious than was the case (though she did slip and go in knee deep at one point).
Leighton here are some samples of the nikkor S 50mm f1.4 on the XT2 as requested.
(Please indulge me exceeding the limit - it's for Leighton. I doubled up on one to show the difference between Lightroom and ON1 RAW for X-Trans files.I think ON1 is generally sharper).
This was an interesting experiment. I don't think the 50mm f1.4 S shines on the XT2, not like it does on the A7RII. It's hard to beat that Sony sensor.
I'm feeling very "lens gendered" now - somehow the nikons don't feel right on the Fuji to me.
Reagan - ha ha ...I went past "needing" to buy about 50 lenses and 6 cameras ago. And I'm more tragic than you - I don't buy and sell, I just keep them all.
Curtis - love the baseball pics cropped wide horizontally.
Ken - great to see the 75 - 150, it's a sentimental favourite of mine.
George - George, George, you're evil, seriously unhinged. That 8.5 is too beautiful, and luckily it's so cheap.

Are this all with the Fuji and 50/1.4 S?
Quite a dramatic difference between LR and ON1.
Yes Chris - all with the 50/1.4 S. Yes, it's a big difference. Lightroom is not always good with Fuji raw. There are other good processors too, like Iridient, but I went for the ones I was most familiar with.

The late Joe Rosenthal was queried many times as to what the best camera was and his reply was "the one you have with you!"
In Staunton this fine morning and soon to meet Leighton and Samy. Sorry you couldn't make it today George.
It's bred in at birth Even before you hear of Babe Ruth. Last year, I did root for the Cubs to finally win the WS and get it over with already I was at work the days of the games though, so could only catch up on whatever patients had it on in their rooms.
2004 was such a sweet win!!!

Still smarting over Babe Ruth?
When you made the first comment the second was completely unnecessary Laura. Every Red Sox fan hates the dreaded Yankees and wishes nothing but harm for them. You no doubt already know that the Twins took the series two games to one. From what I understand, that seldom happens in Minneapolis and it never happens in New York.
I am shocked it is still available. I have a AF version and the ED IF AI-s version.

I hope you guys all have your cameras ready so we can see some photos of YOU as well as the market. The market has been on this thread dozens of times but we don't often get photos of you mugs... especially Samy, who has been incognito for years...
The upload limit on FM for those with upload and sell is now 8 per post.

Sadly I'm in the same shape as you Ben. I have sold off a few, but it's very very rare.

I think he was referring to our rather informal agreement limited posts to four photos. I don't imagine we have many among us with slow internet connections, which was one reason we suggested the limit. With pages loading faster, including more photos doesn't seem so bad... though I wouldn't recommend the kind of screen dump Gregory did so often... 15 or 20 photos, most of which we'd seen numerous times... no doubt these posts were whiskey fortified...
So sad I missed the opportunity to meet you on this trip. According to google maps, it's about a 7 hour trip at legal speed limits to get there (allowing for stops)

Yup, at the time, it was agreed that since Fred had a limit of four images per post limit, that that was what we would do with external links is stick to Fred's limit. Since then, the limit has gone up
