Lovely market pictures, James. First and last are my favourites. I think you must go again this year.
Very nice light, anitrone.
Andy, I like the colour one more. I love the flames below the "eyes". I could draw a face outline and it would all fit. Nice design. I love the last one too.
In a close fight between Df and D700 for a spot in the bag for a morning away from home, Df won. Just two lenses; 55mm f/2.8 AI-s and 35-70mm f/3.5-4.8 AI-s. I can live with either as sole camera.
Micro Nikkor 55mm f/2.8 AI-s | F8 ISO 400
Zoom Nikkor 35-70mm f/3.5-4.8 AI-s | F8 ISO 400 -0.33EV

Good to see you Andy. Hope your job hunt goes well. I think if I could move to one other place in the world, it would be New Zealand.
Thanks Leighton. We actually applied to emigrate to NZ years before we applied for Australia but didn't have enough points. I'm enjoying my job here but figure I can just as easily get one there (RV maintenance) and explore on days off. Kids are grown up, I have no pets, no property, I rent a room in a house with no long term commitments.
I have flights booked already for a 3 week holiday at Xmas but thought why wait? If I don't get anything fixed up I have 8 weeks dogsitting at my daughter's up the road while they are in Europe and my youngest is getting married at the end of September up in Cairns.
James, excellent photos from the market and your IR processing of the Lilac is an eye catcher.
Andy, great captures and super nice bike. Glad you enjoyed the photos.
Ani, very nice capture.
The Vatican Gardens, it was tough to be there ready to go at 8:30AM but it was the only remaining time available. We made the reservation well in advance but the tours fill up fast.
The weather was horror show and since my photo gear is not remotely downpour resistant, had to settle for fewer photos than would have liked.

Thanks. The Yamaha has always been the best looking litre capacity Japanese sports bike. The flames are the gold anodised front fork legs btw.
Speaking of selling lenses...I have a 55mm f1.2 SC that I'd like to trade for a 50mm f1.2 ais if anyone is interested. I'm trying to get closer to an actual 50mm FL when paired with my speedbooster.
Leighton,
Love this one! Being a cat person - it hits that note, and the metal roof makes me smile about making a sales rep recommendation a while back.

Since it's a slow day, I'll add another from this morning.

Thanks Jim. Pure luck seeing it. When we go on our neighborhood treks, I drive really slow down the back roads. Amazing what you can spot this way.

Steve, these are great captures of a very interesting cars.
I was sick for a couple of weeks, just a head cold that took a long time to go away, but I am good now. Was not COVID. Kept working but had little energy for anything else.

I'm looking forward to it, but knowing the company (same folks we get our wireless point from) it will be a while yet. You got 12MB/sec down, that's good. We're lucky to get 8 most days.
I get 1 Gig! there are some benefits to urban areas.
