Yeah Ray, it was fun to do. I knew on the way to Virginia that I wanted to do something in that field yesterday. I wanted to shoot black and white, but really was not enough contrast to work. Then I saw the light changing as the sun was going down and set up for a few shots.
This field is actually across the road from the house I grew up in. I make the trip almost every Friday night/Saturday to take care of my mother. So that is why I may post different views of the same thing from time to time

Outstanding wheat field shots George. I'll bet it was exciting to set that shot in your head and standing there make it happen.
I think it's been awhile since the 50-300 made an appearance. Enjoyed the look around that particular part of the coast.
Always appreciate a good story with a picture, thanks for Juliette Milling Company, Scott.
Kenneth, that b&w fern(?) is just great!
Looks like your vision is getting better Steve. Looks like that silver Pratt would not make it up the ramp without some contact with the ramp.
I've got my dad's, an AI, and an AI-s version here... YIKES, am I turning into Rafael's collector twin?
No, as my lenses are not all in pristine condition.

With this lens on a tripod or monopod you would be the king of the bay. Prices are way down on these lenses, not doubt due to size and weight, but they are top performers.
Go 100% on Flickr and read the sign in front of the research vessel.(take it back, the RAW in my computer is perfectly readable, the 100% quality JPG on Flickr does not show at full size when clicked twice, have to download)
Leighton, you are going to love having fiber. After having to use a wireless access point for years and only getting 12 Mb/sec on a good day, we finally got fiber in February. It's incredible. We dropped DirecTV and stream everything now. Downloads that used to take an hour or more now take only a minute or two.
You'll be very happy if your experience is anything like mine.

I'm looking forward to it, but knowing the company (same folks we get our wireless point from) it will be a while yet. You got 12MB/sec down, that's good. We're lucky to get 8 most days.
George, most excellent captures of the wheat field and terrific detail. The farmer should be proud.
Reagan, great photos and good to see you around.
Alice in Wonderland, ca 1959. The most popular bronze monument in Central Park and it is usually covered with climbing youngsters and and photo snappers. Have to be patient and wait for the brief photo opportunities.
On the lighter side:
Fuji S5 + Nikkor-O 35/2, almost forgot how to use a dslr.
