It was quite a hectic last 2 years.
In a nutshell; started a new, demanding job, got sacked because of the pandemie, started a full education (back to school at 64 ), "graduated" last November, got infected by Covid a week later, Covid became Long-Covid and now I'm recovering veeerryy slowly from that. Still not much energy, bad fysical and mental condition, lots of sleeping and doing nothing.

Most of the time , when photographing, I used my Z- or F-lenses.
I slowly transferring to the Z-system.

At George; almost all my MF lenses are chipped.

What a whirlwind of anxiety you must of been through the past two years. I really hope things turn around for you soon.

All these were shot today with the D800 + Nikkor 200mm f4 micro, and the modified TC-16a and between 5 and 9 image focus stacks due to the windy conditions. A 320mm macro lens provides a really nice working distance.

Last week I finally picked up some MF-lenses and went to the "Keukenhof" to see the flowers.
It was a beautiful day with a lot of tulips.
I didn't know there were such a lot of different species.

What a bloom of color Chris! thanks for sharing.

Keeping the flower theme going. From a walk this evening. Was going to go into the wood, but I got a late start and was getting dark so stayed in the field.

A shot of bachelor button and a couple behind the scenes with this set up.

File this odd lens combination under the category - if you have it shoot it. Don’t let it collect dust

Decided to give the Bronica Nikkor 40mm/4 a try. It has a close focus distance of 10.6 inches.

Going to be spending a lot of time digitizing many years of negatives. Using the Z6 with a 55mm 3.5, PB6 bellows and flash.

The camera capture is in neutral 'picture control' extra high 2 dynamic range, flash color balance.
With this setting the captured image looked to my eye almost identical to a fujichrome slide seen with a loupe.

Had a sample roll from the Queen Califia, the Queen of Spanish fabled California, here at my local park.
This Nicky St. Phalle statue court is here in the middle of hick town. They only open it every so often, to preserve it.

The image is truly what the slide looks like. Who knows what lens but it was a Nikkor MF.

Good luck on your digitizing project. Always on my “to do but never does” list

Please post any lessons learned as you go. Especially with the slides.

I'm very interested in your project as well. I have a couple of thousands of negatives and slides laying around that need to be digitized. 😬
If I use your setup I only need to purchase the PB6. 😊
What kind of flash are you using. Is a SB-500 sufficient (small one)?

Thinking of Ukraine this morning. On that note, I just purchased and started using Luminar Neo and love it! The company is located in Kyiv. Yesterday, we got a huge update that has been a game changer in the usefulness of the app and they say that are going to keep working to improve it. Just amazing.

Hi Siphiwe, thanks! I used Live View, with my tripod extended as high up as it would go, and a Nikon MC-20 to trigger the shutter. Someday I need to go back with a long lens, and shoot a panorama from the balcony to get the whole plane in one decent shot. I don't know what it is about this plane

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_SR-71_Blackbird

I do wish the museum had more balconies for overhead shots.

Oh Laura, I love these. It shows even 15mm sometimes juuust qualifies as wide enough. Possibly stupid question, on the second picture, are you on a raised platform when you take it or it's the wide angle lens magic?

These are from the Da Vinci exhibit as well. The interior shot is the precursor to the tank. You can see the cannon barrels pointing outwards. There's a turret on top, and the device in the middle was the periscope.
