A shot taken on 17th June just about four weeks ago.
The view is the same as the cyclist on the Tour de France had today as they left La Mure to head over to the Col d'Ornon and then on over some even bigger mountains.
What a place to be ..... it's gorgeous .... the mountains are stunning. The meadows are so beautiful. And the farmland is fantastic.
I was again reminded of my love of the architecture and structure of French villages as I drove over these passes.
D810 + 25-50mm f4
Even for an old beat up lens .... it still produces the goods !!

Hi Kristian
Thank you and yes, this is the micro version. I find it very sharp for general walk-around use. Small, lightweight, versatile, and inexpensive. Here is the link to it on the Photosynthesis website.
My copy was factory Ai converted at some point.

I didn't realise there were so many versions of this lens. I hadn't seen this version - mine is the P version, and older, with the raised focussing ridges.
Chin - sorry to hear about the foot and mouth disease. I didn't even know humans got that.
Don - thank you. That shot of yours. the lady with the umbrella is so evocative - as usual with your work.
Steve - I'm guessing you weren't on a bike when you took that shot because the D810 and the 25 - 50 would wiegh you down going up those hills.
Another teaser. I dont use the 135mm focal length more to justify buying this. Seems cheap as I was tracking these at $350ish couple of years ago. https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1500385
Just a quick note to the "Montana Kid"...Jack, the 1309 is just a little behind schedule, grant money was a little slow to arrive. They are now in the process of completing the installation of the flue tubes. Lots more work to do. The next time I get down there, I'll take a couple of MF lenses so I can post up some photos.

Colin - Man I really like your IR work. I think you just pushed me over the edge. Looking for a used X-Pro1 that I can convert
George - glad to have been of assistance!
I must admit that I am getting much closer to jumping on a used D7100 or D600 to convert. CPU registers, exif data and aperture priority are the main attractions. I have more IR stuff (using AF lenses) on my Flickr stream

This is the last contribution from my trip from last weekend.
This is from the former island Urk, that was some 30km into the sea (Zuiderzee) and is now the border of a lake (IJsselmeer). It's part of an empoldered area.
as long as the glass is clean, this one's a steal! Grab it, Ram!

+1 Also this one is AIS and has a longer built in hood than the shorter and less adequate hood on the Ai (I have an Ai). Although the Ai has a longer focus throw if considering using for video.
