I remain so busy I cannot enjoy the thread's goodness.

Took the 18mm 3.5 and could not find the Mojo, But at least here are some samples of what summer is like here.

This is an 18mm picture from long ago when my wide angle mojo was at its peak, been using too many long lenses recently.

Still posting stuff from my trip to France

While down near the Med on the south coast, near Bezier, the Canal du Midi, a route from the Atlantic to the Med comes to its final few miles ...

With trees lining the banks and the shade that produces, it makes for a rather special place.

Oh, and lighting in bright sunlight that can be a tad difficult to balance.

Chris you mention scotch made in the Netherlands. It appears looking at those lovely Glencairn whisky glasses that there are at least two different whiskies being sampled. I'd be interested in exactly what you were drinking... on the off chance I make another trip to your wonderful country...

Four different whisky's
From left to right:
Four Roses, Famous Grouse, Fryske Hynder (the Dutch one) and Lagavulin.
Boy... was I wrong on all of them. :-(
Later on I had a glass of a cask strength Fryske Hynder. Only 5 years old and 50% alcohol percentage.

Hi all!

Me and the family are now back from a very much needed and very nice holiday. Been in Indonesia, Bali and Gili Islands for 23 nights. All flights went well and the kids did very well too

I took about 1400 shots...it´s quite a lot to be me, now I have a lot to do Not only do I need to work my way through the bunch, I also need to make more space since I still not have enough space to take care of it all.

Hope all is good with everyone! I´ll try to catch up on the thread this coming days.
Here´s a little something from one of the beaches we visited

James, I’ve used the 50/2.8 EL-Nikkor on bellows for macro work with really good results and the 75/4 EL-Nikkor with OK results. My enlarger at home accepted negs only up to 2-1/4 square, so I never got any longer enlarging lens. For years I’ve looked for a good used 150/5.6 EL-Nikkor that I could use on bellows, but they never seem to turn up. I guess people just hang onto them. Somebody must still be shooting 4X5.

Loving the Camaro in the first picture. Is that a Nomad in the 3rd picture?

As far as my Mojo is concerned, it went for burgers and has yet to return home.

So much great stuff on this page. Thanks everyone for your contribution.

Phillipe, it was FORTY-FIVE years ago that I spent two weeks in Paris in the middle of July. My then wife and I stayed at a very inexpensive hotel on the Quai de la Tournelle in a room with a view of Notre Dame. The mattress had been so beaten down it was practically impossible for my wife and I to stay to our side of the bed... not that that was a problem... The evening of July 14th, Bill Haley and the Comets performed near our hotel.

What I liked the most about the EL glass was the incredible flat field. I know a bunch of folks that use these lenses to photograph coins and stamps.

So one bourbon, the Four Roses, one blended scotch, Famous Grouse, a Dutch single malt whiskey a few years old AND the classic Islay Scotch Lagavulin... I don't know whether that is a 12 or 16 year old bottle. I'm not sure what you mean by "wrong on all of them." If that means you didn't like them I would understand, though Lagavulin is my favorite single malt, the 16 year old version. It has the qualities of an Islay whisky which can be an acquired taste.

I know the photo fits this thread but perhaps my waxing eloquent about Scotch whisky is beyond the pale... Thanks nonetheless Chris.
