I did unglue the 40/2 from the Z6 and run a couple of wide open comparison shots against the 50/2 HC.
The bokeh from neither is great but which do people prefer and can you work out which is which?
Haha, sorry Colin did my comment on the AF thread guilt you into removing the 40/2 ? For the record I prefer the one on the right.
Tachihara 4X5 in DC at night. Nikkor-W 135mm 5.6, Tri-X 320 developed in HC-110, dil. B. The exposure time needed a bit of reciprocity correction since it came out to 2s. I did two, 5s and 10s, and I don't know which one this sheet is.
Jay, the pics did not need cropping. I was just surprised to see the great frame coverage with a macro and the 24mm. Super job filling the frame. Swamplandia is really immersive, just what I need to add some warmth to my day.
Andy, both color and B&W stand out each in its own way.
Bird Bath Ice Bubbles is just superb in every way, Colin.
Nice action capture Ben, and he's not staring you down!
Cali cost sunsets, mmm feel the warmth.
Jose, I prefer the stacked version.
Sar, great job on shutter speed and panning with the Air Show. I'm partial to the biplanes.
Ditto Ray! Thank all of you Nikkor MF shooters for the peak over your shoulders.

Ben, Phillipe, Andy, your latest shots reminded me of one of the first things I liked about this thread when I first joined, you allow me to be a global armchair traveler when I'm stuck in one place.
I also enjoy traveling the lower 48 states (don't think anyone from HI or AL here) through the eyes of everyone else.
2014 A little after 5 am - not sure why I was up driving. Radio man said there was a "Honey Moon" setting. Found it, and another 78 seconds later shows where it was headed behind some clouds. Nikkor 500mm f8 reflex.

EDIT to correct file names (MoonSet, not MoonRise) add times, and shot between the initial, and last shot
Thought it was time to do some traveling outside of the backyard so decided to jump across the pond. Have taken quite a few photos in my favorite city but have only tweaked a few. Florence is quite a bit more crowded than I would have expected and all seem to be returning to normal, a great thing.
The food and wine are fantastic but the weather for the most part has been cr*pola.

If this was in the UK or say New York it would definitely have a sinister edge but the graffiti laneways are so celebrated and such a tourist attraction in Melbourne that they are very well lit (too well lit really IMO), hence the B&W.
I blame films from the 80's !
Anyways, here's the colour version. I did nearly do a side by side and ask for preference in the original post but I really liked the mono version more.

Simple but beautiful. When I was a teen growing up in NOVA, we used to drive into DC in the wee hours of the morning and take pics and just look around. This reminded me of that, thanks.

Here's another IR taken with the converted D70 and 24/2.8 AI. This is the St. Simons Island, GA lighthouse. It was taken Thanksgiving weekend. It was very crowded and I never could grab a shot without anyone on the platform.

Serge - Florence is your favourite? OK, well, here's the Nikon 135mm f3.5 from that other city in Italy, as one commentator called it "Hicksville on the Tiber".
