I coupled the PK-13 to the 50mm just to see what it gives me. Seems okay but too much work without focusing aid like a rail. I love the 50. It is very different wide open compared to something like f/2.8. I love how it messes with the background wide open.
Sorry Ben, no sun for testing for flare on the 35/2. Clouds all day.
So I am playing with the 55/3.5 Micro on the Zfc. I have a cheap ring light I use for video conferencing and thought I would give it a try on a Christmas Cactus we have in the dining room. My wife says it is a couple weeks past peak bloom but that doesn't matter to me. It is something to test on

I am meant to be fast asleep now but made the mistake of catching up from 1515 onwards. It is just remarkable how this board manages to churn out outstanding images from 'ancient' glass. It really is the Chef but the pots ain't too shabby either.
Leighton, the survivor tree image is very well done and the whole scene is beautiful.
Andy, your journey with black and white has reached the summit. In fact, I think your whole photography has a lot more freedom now. I'm always looking forward to see what you've been seeing.
Philippe, your first Prince of darkness image is outstanding. Great interpretation with your signature colour rounding it off nicely.
Too many to mention and I'm on a phone.
Oh, Leighton.... small camera, big glass would concern me. On the other hand, Sar does outstanding work with the same. Let me shut up and go to bed.
This thread is moving apace with great image quality. I have not read yet.
The 8mm f/8 arrived and I am very happy with it. Lens/glass itself is pristine, body has two or three of the tiniest nicks, viewfinder is in perfect shape.
Downsides, the rear 3F cap is badly broken, and the protector piece at the rear of the lens is bent, the protector is fixable but it was in the image path and made people think the lens was defective. I just removed the protector for now, the lens will be on an adapter for mirrorless cameras and that is enough protection.
Anybody wants to trade a pristine 3F rear cap for an excellent fisheye viewfinder (I have extra viewfinders)

I hear a lot of carriers drooling over the size of the one furthest from the camera... as long as it doesn't have that lock slot on it.

Just over a half mile to the mailbox and back. Some days, it's the only exercise I get. S-X10 and 55mm f1.2 SC wide open with the speedbooster on.
