Medium format for the lunar eclipse!! Very nice George!
As to the Z9, if I start saving now I will be able to afford it with the new Noct in 600 years
Talking about sacrificing sleep, I only got 3 hours, and then had to go in to work early. Just dragged myself back home to the couch and this forum

Thanks. Can you imagine the technology in 600 years! Heck maybe the Z9 and 28mm SE will be shipping by then
I did some exposure bracketing to try an HDR combo, but Lightroom automation will not process it. So will have to do it the manual way in Photoshop one day when I have the time.
The cold front moved through in time to clear the skies and man that wind was a little cool.
I can never get enough of owls and this one reminds me Jose of the one you took of the family of burrowing owls in cute poses. You have always demonstrated that 400 pre-AI lens quality!

Large pupils during a cloudy sunrise:
Olympus OM-D E-M1 MarkII + adapter + Nikkor 400mm f/5.6K ED non-IF, supported on car's window sill, ISO 1600, f/5.6 at 1/100s. 2 images to do pano and focus stack at the same time. Just after sunrise under a cloudy sky. Contrary to cropping this was a larger than native sensor image (29.5/20MP).

Well, at the moment, the longest lens I have is a 200mm equivalent, that's using the 50-135mm. I've been thinking of getting a long lens, but I'm not sure how much I'd use it to justify the cost.
If you get a 300/4.5, I have a TC-300 that I will send you.

Expensive yes, but I think good for what it is claiming to be. I am thinking about snagging a D'x' next year with all that will be hitting the used market for people upgrading. There was a D4s with @5000 shutter count for $1700 or so.

Yes, I'm with Samy, it has a nice 3D look to it. I tip my hat to everyone who got up at 3 to take a shot. That's dedication!
Jay - love the last couple of landscapes. Is the river view a pano stitch?
Ronny - very good to see Nitro. I remember these pics. Love the backlight in the first one, and his breath misting in the cold air.
Sar - the 20mm f3.5UD is one of my favourites too, one of the few lenses I bought with me from Australia, but I don't know that I'd call it light, especially with the adapter.
Philippe - superb, as always...... but you gotta cut out the grumpy old man nonsense, welcome to the 21st century.

The Z fc+20/3.5+FTZ, at 915g, is 15g more heavy than the Z fc+Z 20/1.8 S. Anyway, it's much lighter than any of my DSLR.

For shooting the lunar eclipse, I called an audible at game time (3am) and went with the GFX 50S and Reflex 1000mm. Needed the moveable EVF on the 50S for viewing and focusing.
I have a lot of images to sort through and cull this weekend, but posting one this morning.
Edit - replaced with one shot at ISO 1600. Less blown highlight and purple bloom
