To deal with noise I've found DxO Photolab 4's Deep Prime technology really excellent. Various comparisons have been made with Topaz and it is regarded as being at least as good. The denoising s/w is also available as stand alone . Deep Prime only works on RAW files but I love it.

This morning DDG-1001 returned to home port. I got to park at the pier for the first time ever.

Even so, this guy parks there all the time, must be far more important than I, he must run the crane.

20mm 2.8 ais, so bad for lateral color but SW gets most of it. Capture NXD is fine for these daytime shots.

So that night I woke up at 3AM browsing eBay and look what came to my possession today.
I took the chance because the listing had only one picture. It came home in excellent shape. I am a happy man. Now the hard part...my wife. I am going to go wash dishes first. See ya in a bit!

I agree with you Ray, fall is done here too. Mostly browns with some yellows and many bare trees.

Leighton and George, we had our first wintery mix (graupel) a couple days ago. I am sure there is more to come!

Rafael, nice view angles of DDG 1001. Its hard to judge the size of the ship until there are vehicles for a sense of scale.

Riccardo, that is an awesome photograph. It looks like a capture that could have been taken by a Mars exploration rover.
