Yeah, I noticed..."this was off memory". I use a spreadsheet, and I don't have near as many lenses. For me, Rafael's memory is very impressive, more so than the Nikkors.

Love this series. Reminds of a client I had in 2013 to shoot one month of a John Deere calendar. It led to this amazing man that had been put out of the dairy business due to environment regulations. He made his entire operation into a John Deere museum. I think he had everything John Deere ever made - tractors, trucks, a hearse, carriage, plows, toys, signage, literature, etc - all lovingly restored and well displayed. He was in his early 90's, but he looked 65. He and his wife were both madly in love with John Deere, and each other. They had the same loyalty to that as many here have to MF Nikkors.

I'm afraid you are correct. I've already scanned evilbay and the FS ads here for additional fixes since I've been back on, simply due to this thread. Just evil. While I enjoy the MF lenses that I do have, they are assuredly not collector condition like others on here, but I think I keep using them simply to participate around here.

Does not help that with the Z5 and a simple $25 adapter I can now mindlessly mount a non-AI lens which opens up a lot of options for a cheapskate like me. Just watch, I'll add a couple of Non-Ai lenses and Nikon will produce an AI-indexed FTZ that will then make me want AI'd equivalents. Add in the enablers that hang out here and game over.

Speaking for myself, I'm loving all this gear talk, and especially the gear pics. Not sure how "addiction" and "weakness" and "shame" come into it, but hey......to each his/her own.

The 18mm has a bit of flare but the real king is the 20mm f3.5 UD. I'm posting this now while Philippe's away because he hates these flare pics.

not me, I need to go smaller lighter now days! Last trip to Hawaii it was really catching up with me going up the steep cliff paths at the green beach and the overlook point. Next trip I will go with just manual focus gear and either the Fuji or the Z7.

I will say, it is damn sexy though!

You know, some I have bought are in really good shape, but I do not go by Rafael standards, I do buy them to use! So they are semi minty but not so expensive I am afraid to use them. I really enjoy using them when I get in the mood and get the chance. They are for me really and I share when I can here to fuel the GAS.. they are a magical beans of their own, the more you buy the more you shoot!
