Siphiwe, enjoyed the rainy shot. I don't let the lenses get too drenched but in my experience misting / light drizzle seems to be fine on all gear I've used, including MF Nikkors.
Colin, enjoyed the aircraft shots, some different planes than what I recall seeing in museums over here in the lower 48, which is to be expected. Did you do any defishing? I noticed the horizontal cropping, but you seem to have the fisheye effect well minimized in the shots.
Dean, enjoyed seeing the process from negative to final result. What is that second picture that looks like a negative, but is different from the first picture? I have to say that I don't miss the days of mailing exposed rolls from national parks and then waiting for it to show up on my doorstep 10 days later. It was between anticipation and dread, to see if would actually arrive. Really glad I'm not mailing rolls of film with the state of package transit these days....Show more →
Ray,
No defishing involved.
The subject matter helps smooths out the fish-eye effect and I did try to keep things central to the FX frame.
I still can't get over being to hand hold the camera for, in some cases, 1 second exposures and still get useable images.
The Z6 is growing on me a lot.
I still have more images to cull/process from another area of the museum.

10 days! That’s crazy. We’re spoiled here with dev labs. 1hr after unwinding the film I have the negs in my hand
The second image is after the “scanned” RAW neg has been white balanced by sampling off of the film border. You can use Auto WB, but sampling off of the film border seems to work better most of the time and gets yu in the ball park. You can then fine the WB in Negative Lab Pro or even in the resulting TIFF file.

Thanks for sharing your flow.
I took some infrared pictures of the power plant but they didn't come out too well.
Colin
The power station is a blight on the landscape for sure. There’s a beach nearby that faces the power situation as well. It’s become surprisingly popular with younger expats for some reason. I couldn’t think of anything worse that trying to catch some relaxing rays on a beach and having a power station in front of me.

Dean, that's really spoiled! No local development here and mail order takes a good 10 days.

Still collecting! There are really only so many I have interest in collecting any more! But however it came to be, I came to thinking about how much I liked the 45mm FOV. I know, the Devil got me so deep, thanks Curtis, I saw you visited not too long ago, glad to see you are well. Sorry about your partner.
So I found myself googling 45mm and damnnnnnn, lol. It would be easy to part with some of the lower performers, yet, I am a bit beyond that now.
45P soon, the 45gn still intrigues me, funny how some of the oddest lenses captivate us, but something about that focal length for me that caused me to pay way too much for a supposed mint copy of a very lowly reputed lens. I really don't like the whole pay sales tax now on used goods! Total robbery!
