Serge, you have been taking me back with your southern New England shots this summer. Have really enjoyed them!

Hi, George:
Glad you are enjoying the trip down memory lane. It s a great part of the country and very easy to visit the different areas from NYC. The terrific seafood is a super nice plus. It has been a great break from the medium apple.
I have had my Z6 for 2 months and am slowly exploring its features.
I will be interested in seeing what you think of focus peaking. I know some people don't like it but I am a fan.
The stabilization works wonders for these old lenses. I assume that's what you meant in you comment.
I find the out of camera colors are much better than the older sensors.
Have fun!
Colin
Thanks Colin - I am literally working my way through the menu.
Fortunately Steve Perry (Back Counmtry Gallery) has put together some excellent videos and as a keen follower, I'm going through them 1 by 1.
I think it'll take a while and I like the 24-200 kit lens too. This was one of 4 shots of various subjects that just happened to appeal.
More tomorrow although we're expecting really lousy weather for a couple of days.
More 85mm f1.4 ais "antique" (this time junk) store photos. The first shot lured me back to consider buying this eclectic secretary - which turned out to be a frankenstein that was barely held together. It was that patch of quarter sawn oak that grabbed me like crazy - just gorgeous.
Packing today!! We’re getting ready to take off for Michigan’s UP then west to South Dakota. Just got back from Arkansas when I last posted pics and an uneventful trip to Alabama using secondary roads. Heard from Reagan maybe three weeks ago who has work scheduled around the house and was not happy waiting on contractors and permits.
Disappointed in the Zfc in that it’s not full frame but the killer is NO ibis. I’m sure they’ll sell well at Best Buy and Sams Club. JMHO! My Df still rules and I like my Z6 and I’ll have them for a lot longer I guess.
Serge southern Connecticut is really scenic in the summer , nice shots. Love the anchor Jay!

Hi Colin - having worked my way through the menus and having looked at a couple of videos on focus peaking on you tube, I had a go this afternoon at a couple of mundane subjects at home. One word -WOW! I feel as if I have a new lease of life and am really set up for what I want to do.
The D500 for wildlife and my DX lenses, as well as the 105 2.8 on auto and the Z5 with my MF glass. I'm looking forward to using the 28 3.5 PC with this camera.

Happy travels Ken. Looking forward to the travel pictures!
I hope Nikon sells a ton of them in Best Buy and Sams. Shows interest for funding development of that full frame/stabilized edition
Back in the day, when I went to school, most of my school work was done with a 4x5, some Medium Format, but I shot 35mm with an F3HP and a similar arrangement of lenses. At that time the 20/2.8 wasn't out yet, so I shot with the 3.5 version
I ALSO had the 16/2.8 AI-S, 24/2.8 AI-S and the 85/1.8 AI-S (I think) I don't remember that one for sure
After Colin's hint re focus peaking I put the 105 2.5 Ais lens on the Z5 and took a couple of random shots ijn the house - it was too damn cold to go outside last evening! This is an image of a kelim in our entrance hall, SOOC, and a crop of a portion. I've always been a fanof the lens but am still amazed at the resolving power on a modern sensor.

Welcome aboard Yamil !
So do you still own any MF glass or maybe thinking of getting some? I see you're a pro shooter, what do you use for that?
