Rafael, the colour rendition of the "S" lenses is quite distinct to my old eyes.
Compare the green in the Ford truck to the green of this vintage Packard Super 8 that I saw in a gas station while travelling across South Africa a couple of weeks ago. This was with the S 5cm f2

For Buddy. Browning BAR MkII Safari in .300 Win Magnum. Made in 1995. This one staying in the family. No iron sights for 400 yard shots on this one
Taken with the X-Pro2 and 24mm AIS wide open 2.8 with the tilt/shift Kipon adapter.
Raphael I love the tractors and the way you captured their flavor.
Peter I am so glad your homestead escaped destruction from fire. I really liked the '37/'38 Packard.
George hope your week on the outer banks was a nice one. Thanks for the shots you posted.
Chin you need more cheese.
Today we have the last set from Capitol Reef. Its an interesting place and the roadway warns of the washes that cross it and to beware of storms. Its a really neat place.

Love the firearms shots Buddy and Rafael. When I get back from my trip to my mother in law, I will post some shots of my pistol and antique shotgun. Wife is already out there since her mom isn't doing that great.
Kevin, I wish you all the strength for your trip, and all the best wishes from Kristina and me for the family and wife.
I look forward to seeing those photos once you return. Antique shotgun sounds promising alright
I think that's a setting in the camera for the beep. I know it is on the D3 and D700. Try custom setting D1

I wish Nikon would do a firmware update to the D800 that beeped like the Canon 5D mkII does when it achieves focus. The green dot works, but the added beep would help me a lot.
Guess there is a lot of this going around.
This is the view up my driveway as I returned to beat back the flames and save the house.
No water so I used a hoe.
Got lucky and only had 2 heat cracked windows after firefighting all night.

George
Now there is a beautiful sight! I mean, what is not to like about this photo? Even though we're talking weapons, and weapons were not sledomly invented to stop people from looking at things beautiful, the BAR MkII Safari with it's engraving does look, to a casual observer like I am, like a beautifully crafted piece of precision engineering.
Staying in the family indicates that you like this one as well George, and 400 yards, to me, indicates that this weapon is capable of firing quite accurately.
But it doesn't stop there. You sure know how to reel me in. Taken with the Fuji X-Pro 2, using a manual Nikkor and a Tilt Shift adaptor. If I didn't know better, I would think you did that on purpose
