Ray what a capture of the hydrant in the snow it says it all! Brrrrr!
Jay terrific composition of the abandoned cart some where in the south west!
Here are some shots taken in Long Boat Key, Siesta Key and I think Casey Key. Playing with light!
Ken,
Nice moody color. Makes me want to return there.
I recognised that Condo building in your previous set from the time my wife an I walked the entire beach-front from Zota to the end of the Key. Thought I had some IR images of it but must have ditched them.
Whilst looking I came across this 'black sky' candidate - so I twiddled a few LR sliders.

Man you did walk a long way. That condo is at the foot of the island. It’s quite the place. You’re more than welcome to visit ... I’ll buy you dinner! The property manager there said occupancy was way down primarily due to the absence of “Brit’s” and “Canadians” who’ve been restricted in traveling. It’s a great source of debate here and unfortunately it has become political. We’re lucky we are free to come and go at will and the State has not had results that are much different than those that are locked down.
Back to your post. You did a splendid job capturing what I think they call a “narrow boat,” yes! Always amazed at the canals in Britain.
The small sailing boats in the neighborhood have collected some climbing plants in the last year.
It's a matter of the restricted sports-activities during Corona-times. Shot the rigging already a couple of times.
Today with the Ai-converted SC-Nikkor 50/1.4 from 1973/74 on a D700. Full aperture, I like the look of it.
The garden is starting to show more life but the soil is still pretty wet.
It won't be long before the winter tidy-up and spring pruning climb to the top of the list of chores.
Here is a Crocus close up: 55/2.8 micro & PK-13 tube.
It's funny what pictures end up with impact, appreciate the comments on the fire hydrant.
Kristian, that is one cold bicycle commute. Though I have some cold weather gear I've not been on my bicycle since mid November! Great picture too, love the warm top to the cold bottom transition in subject, tone, and color.
Georg, vines on sailboats! Man, this *thing* needs to be over.
Jay, the "Long Wave" pic processing brings to mind Ansel's "processing" in his prints.
Scott, that flying snow scene reflects how I feel in the Ohio winter light!
I struggle to imagine how anyone could ride a bicycle in that
kind of weather
I am not able to understand how people could even go outside in that weather
Though I do appreciate someone else doing it
Of Course I only own one pair of long pants that I haven't worn since 2016
with Scott and Jay
It was a truly lovely and crisp morning. I actually surprised myself, today was the first morning not taking the car to work for a very long while, and it was super nice...and super cold . But I have forgotten what it's like with warm tropical weather and a rum drink by the beach. It's just a dim memory...I think I need a reminder

Thanks a lot Ray! Very rare to have these conditions so it's a must to sieze the moment.
