I haven’t posted anything in a long while because I haven’t been shooting. Based on the words of an acquaintance that the 200/4 AI-s + PN-11 is a good combo for macro work, I decided to give it a try on the Df. It actually does much better than I expected.
This is one of my most neglected lenses. Well, of late they’ve all been neglected. Maybe it deserves a bit more respect.

Great example of that combo Ken. I may have to give that a try on the Df. Hope you get out shooting some more

Is that one of Hong Kong Disney's hotels in the distance in the 4th image?
Yes, that's one of Disney's hotels. From this side of Peng Chau Island you can see right across to Lantau Island where Disneyland is. From the spot I took this shot we flew a drone over the water and filmed/took shots of Disney.
That is great work preserving the film look Dean. I never quite got a neutral/natural look most of the time, but since I was usually scanning Velvia slides anyway the shot already started a ways from reality. Now that I think about it, I shoot digital the way I scanned slides, just check all color histograms for a good distribution of values, and check focus. Post process to get what I want. I usually just played with exposure and focus when scanning, and applied the same curves / adjustments when importing. the image.
I came a cross a 55mm f/2.8 Macro last week and couldn't pass up the opportunity. It's not scalloped, which I'd have preferred for the Df but it is AI, which means it's a go for the D700 too. Anyway, it is much smaller, compared to the 60mm AF-D and AF-S. Lenses seem have evolved much like cars, getting more fat with each iteration.
I was bringing a camera with me everywhere after my loss. Occasionally I would hear him play the muse and tell me to turn around, and a wonderful scene would be in front of me.
It's not a MF shot, so I'll just link to it from my zenfolio
My jaw fell, the camera went up.It's with the 200 f/2. In the upper part of the middle, there is an airplane. In full size, you can see the silver fuselage, and the birds in the tree.

The 55mm f2.8 is one of my favorite lenses. It was the first lens I bought when I came back to the MF Nikkors 10 years ago after visiting this thread the first time. I ended up selling that one, but fortunately, for me. our good friend in Montana, Jack (montana kid) sold me another copy.
Table Mountain from Blouberg (blue Mountain)Strand - looking across Table bay to what the sailors of the past called the Tavern of the Seas. This placid looking bay is the graveyard of many ships and their crews most of whom would have been wrecked in one of the notorious Westerly gales that thrash the bay in winter.
When the sun's out this is a majestic view D200 + 5cm f2

Good to see you back Ken. I have a 200Q that gets zero use over the 180ED
