Chris, congrats on your retirement! The only bad part of mine is that it coincided with Covid, so I haven't been able to enjoy it like I thought I would. Oh well, one day this will pass. Got my first social security payment and signed up for Medicare, so I'm officially an old guy!
On the way back on my walk they had a drone spinning at face level in front of them, probably livestreaming to utube or instagram etc. It would have been a cool photo from behind them, except my 24 frame TMax roll was all used up

EDIT UPDATE - DxO released Nik Collection Ver 3.3 25th anniversary today and it now installs in Big Sur.
Hey Gang
Not NMFG specific, but wanted to throw this out there since I know of number of you use Mac computers.
If you have purchased or plan on purchasing a new Mac with macOS Big Sur on it, or are doing a clean install (i.e. wiping the hard drive and doing a fresh install) of Big Sur, do your homework to see if your post processing software will run.
I did a clean install on my MacBook Pro and ON1 2020 will not install. The ON1 forum states that 2021 version will install, but I have no plans in upgrading with them.
Since I am in a development organization I know the early adopter risk, but given the fact at how long Big Sur has been out in public Beta release, it does surprise me that vendors like this are behind. Surprisingly Adobe seems to have no issues
I am not sure if there are any issues if you already have this software installed and upgrade from Catalina to Big Sur.
I just prefer to start from scratch to keep away from upgrade baggage.
FWIW, I upgraded to Big Sur on my 16" the other day with no problems at all. I didn't do a clean install, but in this case, it didn't seem to matter. I don't use On1, but Capture One, and it's running fine.
I couldn't resist and bought a MB Air with the new M1 chip (It's replacing my old Chromebook that I use in the living room). It came preloaded with Big Sur and even that runs Capture One flawlessly even though C1 isn't optimized for the M1 chip. It's running through what Apple calls "Rosetta" until C1 can update their software.
The performance coming out of the M1 chip is remarkable! I can't wait until next year when they put it in the 16" MBP.

Hope you the very best.
Thanks Leighton. Vaccines are on the way, I think/hope that in 6 months the worst part will be over.
I have a 7 month old grandson in Indonesia I only know from WhatsApp and FaceTime. So when it's possible my first trip will be to Indonesia.

That will be a great trip with LOTS of photo ops.
What's killing me is that all of my grandsons are within 15 minutes of us and I can't give them a hug.

OMG! A slice of that with some of your coffee and I'd be set.
Love the look of the files I've seen you posting with that FUJI!!! Sorry Steve.
Thanks!
I can confirm that it does go well with the coffee
Our son is coming home tonight and will use our house as his base until the spring semester starts back. So my wife will be doing plenty of baking. Yay for me

Glad your son is coming home, but man, you're going to get fat.

Might hit you up on that 18-55...
I'm going to be letting go of my manual focus gear here soon. My diabetes, although well controlled, has caused a lot of collateral damage to my body. My doctors are puzzled as to why, but I have diabetic neuropathy like they would see in someone that has had a lifetime of unchecked diabetes (the pain in my feet and legs sometimes is unreal, close to kidney stone pain). Also, my eyesight has gone to absolute hell in a hand basket. One day, I can see sort of OK, the next, I am using my distance glasses to read my computer screen, because my computer glasses are useless. Some days, I forget that I have my computer glasses on because I can see everything just fine through them. Biggest issue though, the neuropathy is spreading to my hands. Light weight items, I can carry without much issues. My XT2 with an adapted 50/1.4 and a wrist strap I can carry all day without too many issues. Toss the 55/1.2 and it starts to slip out of my hands. Put the 300/2.8 on there, well, its a tripod lens now. I feel so old...
