Hi Chris. Only software I am using currently is Adobe and the Nik collection. I purchased ON1 2020 just this summer and I am not going to pay for an upgrade to 2021 in less than 4 months. Sort of defeats the one time license vs. subscription model
I stopped using Nikon software a long time ago. They are a good camera/optics company, but not so much at software development.
I may look at Affinity this winter but right now still chugging along with Lightroom
Also, congratulations on retirement!
Thanks, the wife already made a long list of jobs/assignments for the upcoming months.
Affinity is pretty good and looks much alike PS.
Only Nikon software use is Nikon Transfer.
ViewNX-i and Capture NX-D give good results, but it's akward to use.
I don't want to wish time away but I can't wait for mine.
The way things are at the moment my present employer might not have plans for me to see that through to fruition in 4 years time.... Time will tell.

I'm still on Catalina and wait till somewhere next month to upgrade. I have a 2019 iMac, so I think I'll skip the clean install. I did a clean install on my MBP last year and that was not a pleasant job.
A lot of companies start checking their software after the new OS is released. I know Nikon does. Does the Nikon software work?
I updated to DxO PL4, so I'll update the new NIK 3.3 this weekend (thanks).
On1 is my other RAW converter, but I don't want to upgrade either (don't use it much).
Do you have Affinity (my PS substitute)? If so, does it work?
I'm Adobe and Microsoft free on my Macs
I'm retiring on December 1st, so I'll have time to pick up my MF-lenses more. ...Show more →
Thanks Colin, I couldn't agree with my employer on an extension of my contract and quit.
So it's a bit of an early retirement.
Officially my retirement is in June 2023 (66yr and 10month)
Time flies and those 4 years will be over before you know,

Thank you, the D3s is indeed magic and it is very rare that I've had to do anything more that adjust white balance in post. I process with Capture NX-D so my shots are all essentially straight out of the camera.
The San Remo ( ca 1930) at Central Park west between 74-75th streets. I have not seen many horse drawn carriages but they returned early last month. For those not familiar, Bow Bridge is to the right.
The building across the park and around 25 blocks north. Great sports fields in this area.
