I am very taken by Jay's "Blooms along the path" picture in the last page, Kristian's camping shots, Scott's beautifully-framed tree in the afternoon sun, and Serge's fall colours. Initially seen from my mobile but look even better on the bigger screen.
My wife tells me this is a form of Hydrangea (Oakleaf kind). It seems Google agrees. I think it photographs well but is in an awkward spot in the garden.
"Nikon on Nikon", as I think it should be with the Df.
George haha how do you know its not a spot on my ageing V700 scanner Thanks!
Seeing the image come into focus on the large ground glass, and then looking at the resulting 8X10 transparency against a light is quite a pleasure. And I am still smitten with the SP810 daylight tray.
The largest scan possible is at 2400 dpi, anything more I don't have the RAM to handle. For this image it came out to a ~150MB jpg file, scanning artifacts and all. I had to reduce it to about 65MB because Flickr has a limit to the file size.

The area on the lower left... Do you think it was from a light leak the bellows, the film holder or assuming you are using a changing bag?
Changing bag the artifact would like be a lot more diffuse and probability of being at the edge would be low. My suspicion is the Toyo View holder. I set up in a mostly shaded location. The prior one I did, the issue was more pronounced, and I was right in the sun, this is a retake . I may go back to the Gibellini holder.
Another possibility is the Gibellini adapter board - the Linhof lens board sits a bit loosely against it, I used electric tape this time at those edges, maybe I didn't quite get a corner. Who knows. Another issue is the slide curls, and the scanner top doesn't sit quite flush against it (I thought it used to). Could it be light coming around an edge? Its like back to my programming days, where's that pesky bug hiding Need to take some time off next week to play some more.
EDIT UPDATE - DxO released Nik Collection Ver 3.3 25th anniversary today and it now installs in Big Sur.
Hey Gang
Not NMFG specific, but wanted to throw this out there since I know of number of you use Mac computers.
If you have purchased or plan on purchasing a new Mac with macOS Big Sur on it, or are doing a clean install (i.e. wiping the hard drive and doing a fresh install) of Big Sur, do your homework to see if your post processing software will run.
I did a clean install on my MacBook Pro and ON1 2020 will not install. The ON1 forum states that 2021 version will install, but I have no plans in upgrading with them.
Since I am in a development organization I know the early adopter risk, but given the fact at how long Big Sur has been out in public Beta release, it does surprise me that vendors like this are behind. Surprisingly Adobe seems to have no issues
I am not sure if there are any issues if you already have this software installed and upgrade from Catalina to Big Sur.
I just prefer to start from scratch to keep away from upgrade baggage.

Ken, nice move by your daughter. Outdoor space is in big demand. I just make do with long walks in Central Park with a trusty camera.
Regards,
Serge
Forgive me if I've mentioned this before Serge, the town I used to live in is home to the world's first public funded civic park designed by Joseph Paxton and opened in 1847 and was the basis for the design of Central Park
The town was also the first place in the world to have a public tram system. It is located on the opposite side of the River Mersey from Liverpool and was where a lot of merchants and ship's owners chose to live in huge houses away from the city across the water.

This early AM, I walked around for some shots with 25-50mm. Coincidentally I saw few couple with their prewedding photo shoot. This remind me same thing happened many years ago and there you go.

I'm still on Catalina and wait till somewhere next month to upgrade. I have a 2019 iMac, so I think I'll skip the clean install. I did a clean install on my MBP last year and that was not a pleasant job.
A lot of companies start checking their software after the new OS is released. I know Nikon does. Does the Nikon software work?
I updated to DxO PL4, so I'll update the new NIK 3.3 this weekend (thanks).
On1 is my other RAW converter, but I don't want to upgrade either (don't use it much).
Do you have Affinity (my PS substitute)? If so, does it work?
I'm Adobe and Microsoft free on my Macs
I'm retiring on December 1st, so I'll have time to pick up my MF-lenses more.

Hi Chris. Only software I am using currently is Adobe and the Nik collection. I purchased ON1 2020 just this summer and I am not going to pay for an upgrade to 2021 in less than 4 months. Sort of defeats the one time license vs. subscription model
I stopped using Nikon software a long time ago. They are a good camera/optics company, but not so much at software development.
I may look at Affinity this winter but right now still chugging along with Lightroom
