No, I loved the pink flower, just I don't wear pink
The day off was a federal holiday (Veterans' Day) otherwise I'd have worked Wednesday, which is supposed to be my second day off according to my assignment, but being on the OT list, I was told I'm working it "till further notice".

Thanks, Laura. I will try to post something other than the pink next time.

Question for all the experts here, opinions on the best body for these old Nikon classics?
Will be many answers. For me with a large mix of AI and Non-Ai, I sold my Z6 and went back to the Df on the digital side. No regrets for doing that at all. For film I seem to use the F2AS and F5 the most.
But I did not abandon mirrorless, just moved to a Fuji GFX for that

Was going to have John White convert a few more so I could use them on film too. The Df is tempting if I could still find a focusing screen.
For round two on the Df, I put in a Df F6-L Focusing Screen from Focusingscreen.com this summer. First time around I had a modified K3 screen.
I like the 45 degree split prism on the F6-L better and I think it is brighter than the K3.
You have not owned a Z5 or Z50 so my money's on either of those.

Too bad I won't have a Nikon next week
but I am working on it
I have been getting to know a Z50 recently and have been neglecting my MFNG duties. There's been some good Nikon deals this month here and the Z50 seemed suddenly accessible. The long GAS I've had for it overcame me. It's a comically small camera but surprisingly only 1.06 oz(30g) less than my D5500. Therefore, for now, I'm not feeling the mirrorless = much less weight advantage. In use though, it is a typical lovely Nikon although I think the viewfinder could be better. In comparison, battery life is a bit of a laugh compared to the DSLRs. I was set on getting a spare battery but when I discovered it's about 15% or more of the price of the camera kit, I skipped it for now. It doesn't help that the charger is wimpy, taking 2.5 hours to charge the battery from zero. Mirrorless sometimes feels like a marketing scam but Z50 is a nice camera in search of just as comically small, Z DX lenses. I hope that wish comes true.
I finally held and shot with the Df yesterday, and today. Since they are totally different cameras, there's nothing to compare. I don't even have plans to use my MF Nikkors in the Z50, focus peaking and all. Not interested. vs D5500, it's a coin toss.

Bow Bridge (ca 1862) Central Park, often used as a romantic setting in films and lots of wedding photographers. I was in the area yesterday but unfortunately, a storm this week blew away most of the foliage.
Thanks, I knew one of those companies had gone out of business, good to know where to still find them.
I think my only other thought is a Sony A7 or A7II, the sensor isn’t as good as the Df, and totally different controls, but it’s alot small which fits the old Nikkors quite well...
And to add to the thread, a shot with the Non AI 35/2.8 and the 35O

Always in a good mood to see your df shot, esp with 105mm
So bad I've never taken any photo with my micro 105d since acquisition.
Thank you Phong. For me, it's all about the shooting experience. I love how the Df +105 feels to use. As a result they are always together.
You have to make the time to try your 105D. Since you have a few bodies to choose from, you might actually find one that has good synergy with it and ends up getting more use. There's room for those pictures in the Manual focus people shooting AF thread .
Laura your attachment to the Wright Pat Museum always thrills.
Raphael your shots into the sun are something I play with from time to time. I sometimes regulate the EV into the negative with pretty good results the cane be remedied in PP. Just saying.
Reagan time for a NIKON!
Serge a classic shot of the bridge in Central Park! Too bad the plagues has cut down on traffic.
A few weeks ago we went to the SCCA Race in Sebring. Yesterday the 12 Hours was run to a limited crowd and all the fanfare was gone. Corvettes did poorly with mechanical issues so that was a bummer.
So here's my meager offering of the SCCA race taken from the Seven Hotel's Balcony! It won't get Peter too excited but all I got was turn 7, No pits, nothing from the garage.
