Rafael, great photos of the missile test fire. That is not something one sees everyday.
We visited Connecticut last weekend to check out the fall colors. Hopefully, captured some decent photos to share.
Took these three weeks ago in Guilford, Connecticut. It is a 14 unit copper clad condo complex built in the 1980s. The locals initially hated the structure but now is considered an icon. It is fairly long at 300 feet and an eye catcher compared to the typical New England style real estate in the area.

I've got an HC that isn't perfect that I've been looking to rehome, but nobody wants it. I've found a more pristine copy, which is why I can rehome this one. Nothing that affects the image. So I hang onto it, and hope.
You need at least two of each, the pretty one for weekend urban outings and the beat up one for the desert camping.
The missile shots are official 'automatic' Navy photos Serge, they don't allow actual people on the decks at these events so their hair does not get singed. . I just had to re-post them here as this is a very important event for me and this thread is important to me as well. A milestone if you will.
I can take my own photos at less dramatic events, like clearing bridges in Philadelphia.
I am anxiously awaiting my next set of 8.5cm and 3.5cm, older versions that take no filters, and the 8.5cm is in the MIOJ serial range, plus they look perfect!
So these beauties came in.......
They look like new..................
But....................the 8.5cm glass is perfect.....but....the aperture and focus rings are stuck.
The 3.5cm is a basket fungus case, good for parts only.
For the price I paid the only avenue forward is return......back they go.
So many e-bay sellers come into old lenses they know nothing of.
This was the description: "THIS ITEMS WORK GREAT AND IN EXCELLENT CONDITIONS"

That is what I began experiencing in the last year. I'm to the point now unless it is something from an established member on this forum, if I can't find it local or put eyes on it first, I don't buy it. Even KEH has reached that point. I bought two items from them this year in EX+ and LN condition and cosmetically they were, but had major operational flaws. No excuse for that at all.
I have never had any issues with buying on this forum

In the last couple of months I have returned a full set of Multiphot lenses purchased for $2500 as two of the four were defective, a 8mm f/8 bought for $700 as the condition was less than described, and now these 8.5cm and 3.5cm bought for $700 as they were pretty outside but useless.
I will take a break from buying. There are too many sellers in e-bay that know how to research prices and descriptions but do not known how to check a lens and don't even care to clean items as long as the photos are OK. I only buy from people that take returns but it still is all a wasted effort.
Jay, nice photos of the Broadmoor. I was there some 12 years years back and it was a very pleasant stay. It has a great golf course with awesome views. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
A couple of my little friend Abbey, who was nice enough to hold a pose for about two seconds.
