Some more from yesterday and for Colin … I think you know the place ! Love the war museum shots.
Andy, interesting falls and stream. You caught the moving water just right ! Nice shots !
Stopped to eat at a favorite eatery yesterday as the main road had a three mile back up with trucks and jeeps flying the American Flag and Trump Flags. Quite a turnout. It's on the inner coastal in Cortez, Florida.
With the Z6 turning a few of my lenses into manual anyway, I’m looking to pick up some old manual lenses and play with them. What’s suggested that won’t break the bank (sub-$200)?
Already looking at the 135 AIS. In an ideal world I’d pick up a fast 40mm, and a 100ish macro. Fine with M or T mount options. Would love to get some flares going.
So many choices. There are several good options for the macro, 105 f4 AI or AIS Micro or the 105 f2.8 AIS Micro. The 2.8 will be around $200. The f4’s can be found for less. Maybe a 35 f2 AI or AIS for your 40 ish range. It’s a little wider but the 28 f2.8 AIS is also a really nice lens. It can be reverse mounted for ultra macro. Manual focus on the Z’s are fun with the focus aids and 100% zoom helping. You also get new features like VR on them as well if you enter the focal length data into the camera.

Thanks for any advice.
You really cant go wrong with the 105 2.5 ais - it's fantastic and great for macro with extension tubes.
If you can stretch the budget a little bit, you can find a 180 f/2.8 AI-s ED AI-s near the $200 mark.
There's also the 200 f/4 that can be found for under $100

OK, 105 f/2.5 AI-S it is. But this isn't a close focus "micro", correct?
Considering those Meike AF extension tubes, so this may be a moot point...

#1 on the list is the 105 f/2.5 AI or AI-s, most famous picture taken with this lens adorns a National Geographic cover, by Steve McCurry
Correct, not a macro. Extension tubes and close focus filters work great, too, and you can use them with other lenses as well. The reversing ring is another way to get macro
