Decided that I had to start getting out and taking pics yesterday so went to Crystal Cascades for some exercise and some pics. This is where the locals and tourists go for a swim in summer - cool water and no crocs !
I find that a walk in the Rainforest, plus taking pics to be very beneficial for your Mental Health

Hi Andy -- Great shots of your tropical rain forest.
No crocs!
Coincidentally, I had a dream last night that woke me up -- I had miss-stepped and slid onto the steep wall of a small pond (like a huge artillery crater). I was in a very precarious position, shifting whenever I tried to move to a more stable spot. I noticed movement in the clear water, about ten feet deep -- it was a large gator, wrestling to protect his lunch: yanking the decaying body of another gator, among tree limbs and debris at the bottom of the pond. I woke up when I realized that where there is one live gator and one dead gator, there are undoubtedly many more live gators about! After waking up, I chided myself for not carrying a pistol into the wild. Ha-ha!
Up here, north of the 45th Parallel, we are starting to get the very first sign of turning leaves, as you enter your spring months.
Here are a few shots from today which I present to support my claim that, like a reverse groundhog, I've seen the signs of autumn and it is going to be a cold, wet year here in Western Washington state.
Cheers, mate! Throw another croc on the barbie for me!
Nikon D800e, Nikkor 35/2 PC shot at f/11, 5.6, and 8.0, LR
Another reason I like my Nikon stuff is that it does not break, the meter in my 1973 F still works and is accurate, all my cameras still work fine f, f2, f3, FE2, Nikomat, F4, D40, D200, D3 etc.May not use them much anymore, but use them I did.
The 135mm 2.0 is a great choice, for portraits it is a beauty fully open.

Great shot Phong ! I would print that and hang it on my wall.

Thank you Andy.
Indeed, I am pretty happy with that photo. Only little distraction to my eyes is floating water hyacinth in the foreground.
I waited for few minutes later for more lights up and some cloud in the sky. Here you go.
Photo would be more ideal if I have chance to use bulb mode with remote control.
I hope everyone is well and doing fine, still this pandemic is having earth in its claws. I have had a crazy schedule lately, lots of work with both my income bringing job and the salsa project. I´ve only been able to participate in the forum hitting the like button.
Great work everyone. It´s a bleesing to watch all these shots from all over the world made with our favourite kind of lenses.
Took some time to process a few shots taken lately. The borders between Sweden and Denmark are open again so the next shots are taken from a little trip over to Copenhagen.
All taken with the 50/1.4 ais

Great shots Serge. This reminds me how much I wanna go to NY....
Thanks, Kristian!
Come on down. I bet there is a lot of pent up demand for international travel. Hopefully, things with return to something that resembles normal in the not too distant future.
Lots of fun looking. It's the weekend and I heard Laura needs a little rest from the daily duties of her new job. Cheerup! Life will be back to normal soon!
Serge trying to figure where you took the shots of the GWB. Looks like from the east side 160's and Amsterdam but don't recall any tall buildings there!
Leighton you may be an Anglophile from your DNA! Thought Womack had its roots in Britain/Scotland.
We I got off my duff and shot some today. For everyone to ,comment or enjoy!
The downside of California, I live 15 miles from the beach. The beach was 90F, my house was 110F, the AC was able to keep it at 82 or less, the thought of losing power was scary, although in that case a escape to the seaside would be mandatory. Hope homeless people are finding some relief.
The inevitable fire started near Alpine, 30 miles as the crow flies. Lots of smoke coming my way, fortunately it was high.
