Thanks George. I love this combination, the focal length is the sweet spot for me. If it focused as close as my 55/2.8, it might not ever leave the camera.
On a different note, I'm glad to see the storm weaken. I was worried for the Outer Banks. I had planned on going down this September, but I'm not sure now.

Haven't seen you in a while Serge. 28mm seems a great focal length on DX. I like the last two, a lot.
Hi, Siphiwe:
I am here and try to contribute at least a couple of photos per week. Took far more photos when had a full travel schedule but all travel plans have evaporated.
I enjoy 28mm on a crop sensor quite a bit. It is an extremely versatile lens at least for me plus a terrific piece of glass with exceptional close focus capability.. This lens is what holds me back from full frame, the 28mm focal length would no longer be as attractive.
Slide film version of Belmont Manor that I posted in black and white last week. Linhof Master Technika, Nikkor-SW 90 f8, Velvia 100. Developed with Tetenal E-6 kit in SP-445.

It seemed like a long time since I last saw your contributions. I have not been here much over the past week. I had so much to do and most days I was sleep-deprived and used whatever gap I had for naps.
Having bought a 28mm lens a few months ago, I have to agree with you. It's a very nice focal length on DX. Way better than 35mm, in my opinion.Of course, your version has the special sauce that everyone who has it raves about.

After 3 months of no pandemic, we are facing now with some areas locked down and 6 fatal death.
This beatiful beach fully occupied with people but now you can see almost emptiness.
Be strong Vietnam. We've hot weather to support here.
Cool shadow selfie there, Phong.nh. It's going to be a long time before I head to the beach.
Rafael, the detail extracted by the 800mm + TC on the palm seed is amazing.
As for me, I only have a picture of an early bird poppy bloom.

I wish this lens's focus action was a little more stiff than it is, like the 105 and 135 brethren. The green dot is also a little nervous on this. Reminds me of my AF Sigma glass. The green dot never stops blinking there.
