I do thank Fred quite frequently, for hosting this space. I think about you guys almost every other day, and about how uh I would like to take photographs and post more frequently, but as Chin said, Covid has the world in it's grip and takes us for a rollercoaster ride. The past 3 months for me meant being away from home 12+ hours a day. There were days where I left home at 5 in the morning (which has become the new normal for me) and return after 22.
With another 3 weeks before I get a few (5) days off for the first time since April (I had 2 or 3 days in March), I grabbed an oportunity to take some pictures last Sunday, and process them yesterday. Nothing speial, but these were the results of a 4 hour hike with Kristina, Anouk and all 3 of our dogs.
I visited the area before. And I think I posted some photos of the wild horses roaming that area here as well.
I only took 2 lenses with me. The 35mm f2 Nikkor-O and the 105mm f2,5 Nikkor-P
Great work, nice to see you back. Love the video! You are pushing me to put on the 35/2.0 ais today. From what I've seen here I think the O-version and the ais renders similarly.
They should render quite similar. I expect more difference due to sample variation the to differences in the optical construction between the two.

Hey everyone. Good to see the activity here as usual. I haven't posted much as I have been a bit busy but have been throwing "likes" around. The owner of the garden pruned all my favourite roses recently so the garden is a bit uninspiring to look at these days. Nevertheless, here's a little something.
Df + Nikkor-P Auto 105mm f/2.5 | F2.5 ISO 100 -0.33EV

I love how the 105mm is so tiny compared to the 105mm lenses of today. It's a great match for the Df.

You guys have sparked an interest in me with the 35/2. I too, had the 1.4 ais version some time ago and never grew to like it. The f2 may be worth a look. But which version, the O, or one of the others?
I have the AI and I really love it. Want to borrow it for a while? Works well on the Fuji's (with and without the SpeedBooster).

My wife comes in to my home office, looks around...
Wife: "Are you going to open up a camera store or something"?
Me: "Maybe" (then immediately looking out the window for the Fedex truck)
I’ve had the “are you planning on opening a camera store” a fair few times as well. I keep explaining that 50 odd lenses and 10 cameras isn’t really a lot... certainly not enough stock to open a store.
What my wife hates even more though, is the audio / video setup and the myriad of components that get cycled through the house. “Normal people don’t have 9 speakers in the lounge, let alone 5 in the bedroom” she says My life is constantly on edge waiting for the day the harmony remotes fail.

Samy there is an old saying among gun collectors that goes something like this....... Should I die please don’t let my wife sell my collection for what I told her I paid for it.”

Sounds like my house. I’m down to 11 speakers (theatre setup). My favorite setup though is my office setup. I built all of it... DIY
I am participating in the Big Butterfly Count - a UK wide survey aimed at helping assess the health of our environment simply by counting the amount and type of butterflies (and some day-flying moths) we see. So, during the daily 15 minute count I am trying to get decents photographs all of the varieties that come into my garden - hence the plethora of images of late.
I did learn yesterday that there are sublte differences between a Meadow Brown and a Gatekeeper. I had just lumped them together. Live and learn.....

Eleven speakers must sound amazing. I'm guessing it's probably an Atmos configuration.
DIY speakers sound ineteresting... and beyond my level of skill VAF Research in my hometown of Adelaide used to offer DIY kits, but think they stopped 10 or so years ago. Great speakers. Had their DC-X's as fronts (which I believe were available as kits as well).
